What did Norwich and Swansea do that we aren't?

or nicked money from some poor working Cardiff girl....... -
Turkish and Alpine..........
-
or vice versa the annual saints web end of season "I was right" fest ....never to be missed:) Personally I have no idea where we will finish this season so I'm not making any predictions......
-
yeah alright let him go to forest for the season....for nothing
-
errrrrrr we did he is called Billy Sharp and he was third top scorer in the champ last season and the second English top scorer and we let him go for errr nothing. J-rod only came in joint 9th top scorer last season with David Nugent............ Nothing against J-rod may turn out to be a great player for us far to early to tell either way.

Whose slagging him off? I think you could count on one finger the number of posters who want Nigel sacked. There are however a large number of posters who realise modern football is a cut throat bussiness and chairman don't tend to let a poor run of results go unpunished these days. Despite most of us wanting Nigel to get time and turn things round it isn't up to us............Hopeful Nigel hasn't had a public message of support from the chairman becuase we all know where that normally leads.

I loved the ride ..........just not enjoying the destination much:lol:.

Lots of people are pining a lot of hope on that game.

Really that adds to the argument that there is a difference between a good champ manager and a good PL manager. Big Sam really seemed to struggle with the championship last season (considering the resources he had) yet has always done well enough in the PL. Like you pointed out Warnock has been a great champ mananger looked totally out of his depth in the PL. Lets hope Nigel can learn quick like Lambert at Norwich last season or he may end up following Warnock back to the championship instead.

More interesting than Swansea or Norwich to me is WHU this season, total gash hoofball merchants last season, yet so far doing well and not looking out of place in the PL at all. Ok they've had any easier start than us but they're getting points on the board and looking comfortable against the sort of teams we need to pick up points from. -

Took them apart but only got a massive 1pt out of them last season...... -
you can imagine the struggle Nigel "right positives from yesterday Morgan your hair looked nice, Adam nice boots........ermmmm Danny you made a tackle....right one negative..........you were all...ermmmm crap......"
-
bet that will be a long painful session.................
-
Fair points though I do struggle to enjoy losing to Wigan and being battered by the Arse
-
right so in league one, near the bottom of the table, with 4pts, we were on the brink of oblivion....where are we now then?
-
Surely you mean Guly?...............I thought everything bad at SFC was caused by Guly
-
Have to agree if Wigan aren't one of the teams you need to get a home result against who is?
-
LOL
-
didn't we lose those two?
-
I like this ^^ Never a big fan of the PL myself........ but now we're here might be nice to win a game or two.
-
yep last few seasons a lot has been made of giving the team a "winning mentality" I wonder how long that mentality will last. As a team used to a lot of success over the last few seasons this is uncharted territory (have they ever lost 4 in a row since the take over) will be interesting to see how they respond.

Sadly the vast bags of cash in the PL don't really encourage chairman to look long term the fear of losing the big money means they will frenquently change managers for short term gain (ie staying up this season) Is NC going to be one of those chairmen I don't know but I'll guess we will find out this season....
-
Ok it's fair to say we were handed a very tough start to our return to the PL. It might have been nice to have got a couple of lesser PL sides first to maybe get a point or two on the board early doors for the players confidence. However not to many of us were expecting much from our first four games and while I'm sure no one is happy to have 0 points after four games with our opening fixture list it is to soon to panic. General consensus on here seems to be our season starts with Villa (no pressure there then:)) My question is. If we continue to fail to pick up results when will you start to become concerned? after Villa, after Everton sometime beyond that.......

Well that would certainly be very different to Nigel.......
