Well that isn't going to happen the window is closed and decent PL defenders avaliable for loan are likely to be as rare as hens teeth. The players we have now are the players we're going to have to make do with until Jan(maybe even beyond that) we will just have to hope that the coaching staff can coach abit more into those players and those players start learning the lessons they're being given every week...... fast.

yeah that's what I think none of the old guard of has been PL managers really match the noises coming out of the club about a top to bottom southampton style with youth and 1st team intergrated thus I think somethimg like this is more likely

totally off topic ...but I never understand people saying stuff like that three of the best seasons I can ever remember in my time as a saints fan (too young for the early 80s or the FA cup) loved every miniute of league one and the championship (well maybe not losing to Swindon)

The last few seasons the fans have devoloped a "winning mentality" it's going to take time to revert back to being happy with draws at home, getting beat 6-1 away and getting used to looking at the bottom of the table rather than the top....bear with us while some of us re-discover our good old "plucky saints in the PL" mentality.

Pointless worrying about it now the team we have is the team we've got. Yes I'd of liked another CB and a decent LB ...didn't happen no pointworrying about it anymore. Nigel just has to get the best out of what he has got and start picking up some results. We've had a tough start lets just hope it gets better from here.

From the radio Gaston seems to be the only good thing to come out of today. Shocking defending, Lambert isolated by the system and totally outclassed. Just another depressing day in the PL for saints. Need to get some points on the board and quick....

The thing is when Adam moves to one of the big PL sides at the end of the season he will soon get into the England set up on a regular basis......... As for Cleverly maybe he has lots of great games playing for Man U I can only go on some MOTD highlights, an England game and the team GB games I've seen him play in none of which he looked overly impressive in. As a saints fan I'm always going to think Adam is better:)

Cricket.....can't stand it. I know loads of people love it and it seems to be growing into a massive world wide commerical sport (IPL) but I can't understand why. To me it seems like a sport where hardly anything happens for 90% of the game only people hitting a six or a wicket falling seem vaguley interesting.

Right it's about time you put these skills to better use in future as soon as we are linked with a player in the press you should be gathering intel on such players remember the most important info is what their WAG looks like (topless photos prefered)

I thought the OP asked how people would feel if Nigel got the sack becuase he thinks NC may wield the axe. If anything the OP is questioning NC not Nigel. Apart from Lard I don't think anyone has actually said Nigel should get sacked (I think we all think he is great don't we?) this thread is more about how we would react to Nigel getting the boot not if we think he should get the boot.

Exactly..... a few weeks of people getting upset and then assuming his replacement does a good job everyone will just carry on as if nothing happened. Someone will start a rumour that NA was sacked for having it away with some players misses...and everyone will say what a great job NC did getting rid of him. Nigel will get a job at another PL side and take them top 6........... There is little loyalty in football and those fans down at SMS who boo Guly and scream at players to "boot it" will quickly forget Nigel for the new improved model....

What I don't get is why are these people holding the whole US responsible for a film made by one US citizen? How does killing the US ambassador to Libya help their cuase?
