The thing is Oxo didn't even try to run at the opposition tonight, like he did for us, sure the calibre of player he is up against has improved but his whole game seems to have changed it was all pedestrain short passes barely even tried to beat a man all night.

Well that was awful I'm sorry but Adam could have replaced at least one of half a dozen England players and been a better option. Lampard MOM my arse. Cleverly looks like a league one player totally useless. What the hell has happened to Oxo I remember this exciting player who used to scare defenders ****less with skill and pace now he just looks pedestrain. Still at least watching the England defenders passing it around 15 times between thenselves and then losing it as soon as they cross the halfway line was exciting..........

What's the betting said hack has never even seen him play a full game and would probably struggle to pick Lambert out of an identity parade.

Joys of the academy system I guess if you start out at a club as a youngster and then go all way through to professional footballer in the PL you don't get the grounding you need. Probably why players like Lambert come across as such good blokes he had to work hard to get where he is, including dropping out of football and doing factory work for a while and playing unpaid, thats got to make you appreciate things more than just going academy to PL/championship in the way some players do without really experincing things like manual labour.

Pleased for Adam great for him he must be very proud and if he plays I'll cheer him on with gusto.....however from a purely selfish saints fan point of view I'd rather our best players weren't anywhere near their international squads got enough on our plate this season with out our better players having extra games or worse suffering a injury while playing for their country.

We seemed to have struggled to find quaility CBs over the summer it will be even harder in Jan were people won't want to let a quaility CB go halfway through a season except for silly money. We may have to make do with what we've got this season.

Oh yeah that was a really kick in the nuts .....the point I realised we were going to be second again.

Exactly jJse has really been a 1st choice CB since he came to saints and has no real pressure on his postion last season. Knowing he might not be first choice might just give him a kick up the arse to cut out the mistakes.

Isn't UAE the team that GB beat in the oylmpics quite tidy but lacking much up front? wouldn't have said they were better than a PL side. Something needs to change at the back though but seeing as both Jos and Jose have been rather guility in the "oooopps mistake" league so far this season Yoshida could replace either...even if only to make our two current CBs raise their game.

2003 FA cup final ....really wanted to see saints win a cup final (to young for 76). Losing to Plymouth first game second season in league 1 was a real bummer to. Expectations were super high Plymouth had like one shot all game, which they scored with, never seen us lose such a one sided game.
