They said on solent yesterday that J-rod played left wing as a youth player and that this might be a temporery measure until we get a proper winger in. I assumed we bought him to be a striker so it's hard to judge him playing out wide at the moment.

Isn't that what Guly is though he said himself in an interview last season he doesn't like playing on the right and thinks of himself as an attacking midfielder. Adam on the left, Guly in the middle and Puncheon on the right doesn't sound horrible to me.

Just seen On MOTD2 the Citeh boss moaning that they haven't really signed anyone and he needs more players then they showed Citehs second string 11 and it has still got to be one of the best teams in PL. Just highlights how well we did to give them a game really.

Got the result I was expecting but we a least made Citeh fight for the win. Plus points -much better performance than I was expecting players gave it everything we look pretty good going forward we will score goals this season negatives - we didn't get any points (and points win prizes) we might leak a lot of goals (though hopefully we won't meet to many attacks that good) Out of interest does anybody know how much Citehs team cost...I think one or two of thier players probably cost more than our whole team. All in all encoraging signs.

Always preferred the Championships anyway! I'm not confident at the moment.....I however reserve my right to change my mind (if for example we do something silly like beat man city and man U:lol:)

In the PL we are small time...we will be one of the little clubs that will drift between not being interesting enough to mention (except when we get a stuffing from one of the big boys) or when we are mentioned it will all be "plucky little Southampton isn't it cute them being in the PL"... hell even Wigan fans will see us as an easy 3pts......

I know what you mean......it's like going back 10 years being back in the PL were I wonder how many goals we can keep the opposition down to ...rather than the last few seasons where our players were some of the best in the league and we wondered how many we might win by.

Just keep the defecit down to 4 tommorrow and we won't be bottom of the table tommorrow night....
