Found this from this link to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation of the bbc article http://mis.jrf.org.uk/ Which gives a far more detailed breakdown of weekly expenditure. Some of their costs seem very odd 0.08p a week on toys for a family with two kids? I can't wait to tell my kids I only need to spend £4.16 on toys a year to allow them to live acceptably -

I figured parent social activites were the pub, gym, cinema, dinner out, swinging etc etc but I'm not totally sure TBH -

according to the article Minimum weekly spend on some "socially acceptable" life essentials includes: Household goods and services: Childcare: £147.85, beds and bedding: £3.29, garden equipment: £0.66 Food and drink: Meat £18.08, vegetables: £11.27, snacks: £3.65 Social and cultural: Parent social activities: £30.00, UK holiday: £18.52, birthday gifts: £8.42 Transport: Car: £60.25, public transport: £12.38, Cycling: £1.40 Based on a couple with two young children with a weekly income of £685 So apparently a uk holiday is a socially acceptable life essential as is parent social activites (what ever they are?) -
interesting article on the beeb about how much a family of four needs to live acceptably in the uk A couple with two children now need to earn £36,800 a year to have a "socially acceptable" standard of living, an anti-poverty charity says. link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18770783

Think you need to chill it's a football forum for opinions...you don't have to be a football scout to have an opinion...though granted being one might give you a more informed opinion. If we're only going to allow Football scouts to post we might as well shut this place down FFS -

Probably but one good cup match against a big boy team doesn't make a player.....more to the point is the championship games he played in last season and how he performed. Wiki (I know) have him down as 40 league games 6 goals and 2 assits last season as a winger I'd of expected a few more assits. I know the boy has some skills but I just seem to remember him looking pretty poor against us and reverting to diving, fouling and generally whinging at the ref. -
I imagine the third division clubs will love it if Rangers join them it would be like everyone of them getting a home cup tie and a full stadium for once.
-
interesting ( I thought) look at Rangers possible opponents next season in the Scottish 3rd division. I'll admit I know squat about scots football butwas surprised that average attendence figures in the scot Div 3 is about 500. My favorite is QUEEN'S PARK Ground : Hampden Park, capacity 52,025, season 2011-12 average 520, grass surface I imagine the atmosphere is a bit flat at those home games:? Fulll article http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18735027 Edit - of course that should be Scottish not Sottish -why can't we edit titles:x

A skillful player ...with a bit of a **** attitude (IMO) seemed to spend to much time diving, fouling and moaning, in between bouts of good ball skills, every time I saw him play last season. -
It's not twisting I just find it ammussing that fans get upset when good players move on ("where's the loyalty "etc etc) yet in another breath demand that we ditch players for not being good enough with no thought on loyalty (or sentiment)....I'm not convinced Dean can make the step up FWIW

My in-laws live in MK it's a nice place to live plenty of shops, places to eat and entertainment is the city centre plenty of parks and open spaces to (Willen lake is nice). Like any place in the UK a few of the estates are not places you want to live (Greenlys spring to mind) but there are some very nice areas to. I wouldn't mind living there...except my in-laws would be right on my door step:cry:
-
Just wonder how many people saying there is no room for sentiment/loyalty in football would be crying about a lack of loyalty/sentiment if Lambert or Lallana decided to leave us for another club tommorrow? Having said that I would say it's pretty clear Dean was the weakesst of our CM last season....
-
According to the beeb he is a LB? so I'm assuming he will play at LB...if the Beeb are wrong about his postion than my argument is flawed as he isn't a replacement for Fox.
-
Defensivley he is IMO. In fairness SDR never really broke into the team on a regular basis and Sharp was involved pretty much as soon as he came in ...at least that's how my dodgy memeory remembers it
-
I was replying to Saint Charlie. I'm assuming that as we've bought him he is in fact better than Fox.....I'm not sure why we'd bother otherwise?
-
I thought we had a policy of only bringing in players who are better than what we have....
-
LB? Good bye Dan Harding , say hello to the bench Mr Fox. Good stuff wanted us to get new fullbacks in need a RB back now please
-
Hardly wailing and gnasing my teeth... but I don't every remember Saints getting much in the way of postive comments from MOTD pundits last time we were in the big boys league. Doesn't bother me overly they are they to wax lyrical about the big clubs not clubs like saints. They're is no media conspricy we just aren't very interesting to the neutral football fans.
-
I remember him covering one of TV games last season and he couldn't of looked less interested hadn't even bothered to find out the players names...he is toon through and through. I'm sure he wil just join in with the rest of them on MOTD to bash/patronize the little club.
-
He is not really the player he once was....he seeming willingness to take the big payout over regular football also gives me the impression he's not the sort of player we'd go for.

I'm starting to worry that I might just be another one of Turkish's personaliltes ....maybe we all are
