I do I don't understand why people say this surely we all want saints to win stuff? I couldn't care less about being in the PL but I really wanted saints to be champions.

Apparently solent said that Sky(?) had made a mistake and reported that Forest had scored...no doubt said pipe had been checking his phone and seen that before the mistake was rectified

I know we all hate anyone saying anything less than glowing about saints....but quite frankly he is right about Nigels interviews they aren't very interesting

Hopefully people will take note in the summer, when they're are calling for hordes of big money signings, that it was the team that brought in expensive star names that has struggled in the PL and not the two who kept the spine of their teams and added a couple of sensible signings....

I always get frustrated by the guys near us SMS on their phones more interested in the PL scores (loudly) than what is going on the match. Honestly if you're that bothered about how Man U are doing when not go and watch them play instead?

Sometimes. Normally I'll get the papers on sunday for the footie (didn't bother this weekend) gave the football league show a miss to. If we do go up can't imagine I'll want to watch MOTD to often either.

Barcleys fan of India compentition WTF.................No offence to the bloke in india but how the **** can he support a team from half way round the world he will most likely never see play. How can he have any connection with Arsenal...the way people do with their local team. Still this is what the PL has done to the modern game it's all about global branding and the ££££££

On the other hand a lot of PL club chairman (and I expect our owners to) would be more than happy with that. Get the PL money every season avoid the big R and hope for a decent cup run is what all the teams below the top six probably set as their targets every year. I suppose at least villa have a few possible localish derbies to look forward to.

Well technically that's not true the fans of all those clubs in the lower leagues certainaly do care about them. Wierdly I actually felt a perverse sense of surperioty supporting saints in the lower leagues knowing full well most of the plastic PL team surpporters would never surpport say Chelesa in League 1. You make a point though it seems alot of our fans are more worried about what people think about then surpporting a non PL team than they do about enjoying a good game of football on a saturday afternoon in a lower league and would rather lose 6-1 to cieth than beat oldham 6-1 becuase it's PL...

Except that's exactly what the PL is for a club like us no chance of winning it, a good season is finishing somewhere from 12 and 14th the only excitment will come if we get dragged into a relegation scrape the "fun" we've had in the last three seasons won't be there in the PL .............not that people will mind becuae they'll get to watch teams like arsenal and man city ....

Sure they enjoyed every miniute of their thrashing by Man city
