I love a wet fanny..... ..........moving on it's still in our hands but I'm ****ing annoyed that we seem to be limping across the line, having just handed the title to Reading, rather than finishing in a blaze of glory.....talk about making hardwork of it...

So first season back in the PL what would people like to see more 18mil spent on extra seating or 18mil spent on the playing squad? I'm assuming we haven't got the money to do both. Expansion of SMS will probabaly bring in extra revenue long term...but 18million on strengthening the squad to mid table PL side would bring in 60mil a season straight away......

Sadly I agree with you .....at the moment I'm having horrible visions of being priced out of being able to watch saints on a regular basis so I was clutching at straws that maybe the club don't need to hike up their ticket prices just becuase we're in the PL (but I'm pretty sure they will)

Interesting to look at ticket cost vs crowd numbers....Judging that we are somewhere between stoke and everton ticket prices don't need to change much next season.....

Kids under 11 are free in the family end.....can't get cheaper than that:p

Of course that's a different situation if the owners want to spend 18m no strings ( or debt to the club) on extra seats then I don't think anyone would complain.

The over riding thing for me is will we get bigger crowds? I can't think of anything worse than having a larger staduim that doesn't get filled most weeks. We've failed to sell out SMS plenty of times this season, in what has got to be one of saints best seasons in recent history, so why do people think 14,000+ more fans are just waiting to turn up in the PL. Are there really that number of saints fans who haven't been bothereing to turn up but will next season when it will most likely cost more and will struggle to compete excitment wise of the last three seasons? Sure demand will be high for Man U or Chelsea (which is weird in itself IMO) but Swansea or Norwich I can't see it. I remain to be convinced all these extra fans are out there surely it would be better to have a full 32,000 seat SMS week in week out than a quarter empty 46,000 seat staduim? If this is about increased revenue surely corporate is the way to go in the PL. I was always led to believe that was the area that took a bigg hit when we were relegated from the PL.

Well of course they are we are challegning to be champions....something we won't be doing in the PL. The club has a massive feel good factor we may carry that over in to the first season in the PL but after the novelty has worn of and were fighting it out to finish tenth I'm not so sure people will be so desperate to go espeically if ticket prices are going up.

Well technically Lee has had more PL experince than most of the current team including playing against Man U in the PL.....

Yeah so an extra 16,000 seats means we won't all get cramped ...like I said excellent. Out of interest how much was a PL ticket 10 years ago and how much will one be this time around?

Just seen Nigel was in court as a character witness and NC sent in a written refrence seems the club stood by Barney. Glad to see it's all been sorted out now to celebrate by thumping Middlesbourgh on saturday.

Great it will be nice to have all the extra room to spread out in......plenty of extra empty seats to put my feet up on....Unless Man U are coming to town

Disrespectful for sure....but as it turns out this season true Though quite why saints fans expect everyone else to big us up I'm not sure....

I'm confussed I mean really how hard is it to get 30K saints fans at SMS to all act the same way and agree on everything....

ermmmmm they are the best team they've put an amazing run together playing percentage football with an average team, who don't mind the odd dive, and a very good free kick taker.....fair play to them

Yep I had to batter some **** the other day who said Doris, the loo cleaning lady in the chapel, had missed a spot in the second crapper and that Dorin at Posh was a better loo cleaner I just won't let that sort of thing pass......

I totally get why clubs want the PL I'm just not sure as a football fan I get much out of it (high ticket prices, stupid kick off times and a inferior matchday experince aside)....and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in wanting saints to win stuff

Slighty tempered by the fact that at the start of the season he chose to stay at Donny (wasn't sure if it was the right move according to Billy) then in January, when were top of the league, it was suddendly the right move....no flies on our Billy:D

I said after Billy's first game that you could see he had good insticts to be in the right place at the right time to score and made some good runs but he looked well off the pace now his fitness is starting to come so are the goals.
