Good post, I'm not unhappy about anything at the club on a personal level at the moment. However the idea that all saints fans must be happy about everything that happens at the club and we must never be unhappy again becuase " we almost lost our club 2 years ago" strikes me as strange.

What if the rumour had been "I've heard from a mate Lambert loves it here and wants to stay forever and become manager one day" would you be upset? Are people only allowed to post nice rumours? It's just a rumour take it or leave it, make up your own mind on it's truth, rumours are part of being a football fan.

How many of the good ones have turned out to be true? Look rumours are just that rumours (good or negative it makes no difference) half the reason for coming here is the rumours, each of us is adult and can make up our own minds on the validity of each rumour. I find the constant pessimists far less annoying than the forum thought police who must jump on any negative rumour with such aggression. As I pointed out in a thread higher up I don't think there is anything to this rumour but it's stilll intersting to me. As trousers pointed out a good rumour and everyone believes it a bad one and all the usual suspects get their little pink knickers in a twist.

Yes there are a group of posters on here who get very worked up about anything that could be negative about saints. I imagine they live in a pink fluffy world of marshmellows and lolly pops where their reaction to unpleasent things is to put their fingers in their ears and sing Lalalala......

In fairness though I'd say that about my job right now but if someone came in tommorrow for me with a better job on more money I'd take it. Thats not to say I believe this rumour just that everything said by players and managers in football needs to be taken with a big pinch of salt.

Sorry if I don't keep up with every thread and post on here who said we were bringing 3 players?. I haven't expected to see any new signings this summer I wouldn't be surprised if Cork was the only one myself. We seem far more intent on keeping what we've got (which is no bad thing as far as I'm concerened)

Me.......purely for selfish reasons I like going to watch saints play if they get promoted chances are I won't be able to afford to go and watch saints play. Therefore I'm happy with a mid top table finish (no promotion), winning more than we lose and finishing above Pompey (and Brighton)............Of course if we get promoted I'm sure I'll be happy about it (sort of)

For a second there on reading the post title I thought he'd been sent down for three years.................... I like Barney glad to see him staying longer, it does reinforce my theory that we're going to try and gain promotion with the current team rather than bringing in much in the way of new players.

Well there's all ways the chance he isn't the C unt some on here like to paint him out to be...............thanks to the internet Puncheon has been given the role of satan incarnate based on a lot of rumours and pretty much zero facts. I'd have him back in the team if he and the club could sort out what ever problems they have.

It has red and white stripes thats all I wanted, last seasons kit was a nice one off but I'm glad we're back in stripes.

This ^^^ he was great for us when he was here I was sad to see him go at the time. Saints has moved on and so has BT. Rapidly aging strikers with their best years behind them living on their name aren't the sort of players I want saints signing.

We could always get Bret back as well........ that would be a forward line to strike fear into the championship......

Oh I agree this thread is wummery (is that a word?) of the worst kind. I just find it odd that people switch off from players becuase they're non-league/lower division players. Granted most are playing that level for a reason, but their are some great stories of players who have come up from that level and done well. It appeals to me that the club could uncover another non league gem and give him the chance to play championship/PL football.

Yep I've got to go back and get mine, problem is guy at the ticket office had know idea when they'd be ready to pick up. I don''t want to go to all the hassle of going back down until I know I can actually pick the tickets up.

Nope my son has got the opportunity to train with fulham football clubs academy coaches so we're heading up to London that day. Shame becuase it sounds like a good day out.

Well my five year old thinks Lambert is the best (I have a sneaky suspicion it's the only player she can remember), My nine year old plays full back for his team and likes to model himself on Harding, though he thinks Lallana is pretty amazing.
