BBC state Pardew get Newcastle job within 24 hrs.

Didn't see the news tonight then? Apparently AP highest achivement was a runners up medal in the FA cup....... -
well if NC wants to get 45,000 at PL games he's surely gone to have make the pricing competitive. Looked into getting some tickets to take my wife's grandad to arsenal game a few weeks back. Almost fell off my chair if pricing goes that way I'll be picking my two matches a season very carefully.

Was he being sarky? never can tell on here.

I thought the on the day fee was the same as the online one? is the online more expensive becuase that really would be odd?

well I enjoy reading the pink on a sunday morning with my coffee and a bacon sarnie, at least it's saints related. Beats reading a two line match report in one of the national papers. -
I thought they did? Didn't spudgun say NC said it was done to put people off just walking up on the day as it created to many problems at the ticket office. Doesn't explain the online charge though.

Lot of excitment about this game then................. Are we all dreaming of 6 years time when we stand astride Europe as footballing giants.......... better win this game first. Is Seabourne fit as I assume Fonte still has to serve his ban?

oh don't start that one again

whats a TV licence if it isn't a tax? -
Quite the effects of relegation can be devestating to a club now (unless your'e like west brom who seem to be happy being relgated and taking the parachutes getting promoted again the nrelegated and so on) back in the good old days of leather balls and long shorts being relegated was upsetting but hardly terminal, now being relegated from the prem can smash your club to pieces (just look at saints). That being the case clubs and fans are happy to finish fourth from bottom every year as long as they stay in the PL.
-
How can you make that assement? he hasn't played enough football to really earn the title "one of the best" surely? I saw him take a couple of good corners in the last 10mins of a match this season other than that ............

Where's the evidence that not winning the JPT would have got us a play off place? How do you know that a good run in the JPT didn't inspire the plays to win more league matches? I really don't see how you can prove winning the JPT made a difference to our final league postion. We didn't even play our strongest team in the final or run up games due to our new signings being cup tied. -
bringing through the talent - and keeping it

Quite as much as I love saints only a foolish player (or MLT) would turn down a move to one of the European big boys (with all the trappings that brings) to stay with saints, so for this to work we have to become a major player in European football currently sat 8th in league one that seems a bit of a pipe dream right now. -

football contracts are barely worth the paper they're written on though. -
is there any other type?
-
No they should keep the toilets and canteen seperate IMO
-
Taken from the dinner with NC thread He also added that the Sun did call him and apologised for their misinterpretation which apparently stemmed from negotations with sponsors for next season and offered a printed apology in the paper which NC declined.

Isnt it time to name-and-shame "the group behind the scenes" ?
doddisalegend replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I imagine players have several reasons for going to a club main ones being money and playing football at as high a level as they can, followed by do they like the manager will they be happy at the club. I doubt some rumours about the chairman come high on their list of things to get to worried about more than the thought of dropping to league one. -

the former not much to do at Cardiff gave him plenty of time to come on here and write nasty things about NC. -

it's not in club though it's shadowy forces outside the club -

It all seems far fetched to me, are we the only club to have a shadowy group trying to sow chaos and disorder do other chairman bring these things up in their interviews?. Does this group have a name? Do they meet at some hidden underground lair plotting the destruction of SFC? scratch that found some footage of the evil bastards here fill your boots alpine -

Actually if you read through the threads on here you could end up believing not one manager we've ever had has been good enough for saints. TBH are international jobs that highly thought off especially if its a footballing minow like scotland. -
Bollix thats the Jermey kylie show ruined for me thanks a lot.

Well I still don't think the whole bust up with the press/echo was great for the clubs profile. Being described as south coast team while having pictures of subeto man all seemed avoidable. The season tickets this year could have been handled better too, NCs reasons weren't bad but communication to the fans was lacking resulting in ****ed of fans who might have been more understanding if they had known the reason. Bad for saints who knows? but not good for saints either.
