oh he's not a very good footballer. Today at least in the first half he had some energy, made some runs and tried a couple of tackles thats more than most of the team tried to do. Personally for me Guly is a poor mans Papa.
-
That could have summed up the whole 11 (maybe not Guly who least ran a couple of times) today not just rickie. Having said that even though I've been a fan of Lambert I think it's time to admit he's not doing a job this season it's time to try someone else.

Saints 0 Brentford 2 - Post Match Depression

No you've mellowed, I on the other hand I'm getting right ****ed of with this season:sulk: After NCs interview and the feel good factor it created it was nice to see the players helping to reinforce the message with an abject display like that. It hardly screamed PL by 2014 today. Of course it's only one match (but some our displays of recent weeks have shown this was coming) but I get ****ed off when the players look like that couldn't care less (like they did today) -
Last season I thought he was great the boy has some talent, but it appears he no longer wants to be here he just looks like he doesnt give a ****.

Worse, did you see the the Tranmere game at SMS, becuase we made that tranmere team look PL class today. No passion or fight from the players at all. -
I don't know even an old, out of shape Hoddle would still have offered more than Morgan did today............

Sorry he has the most expensive squad in league one at his disposal, he shouldn't need loads of new players. At the very least he needs to make the ones he's got look like they give a f uck like they did last season becuase today they looked like they all wanted to be else where. -

Ah Derry old chap where's this amazing football you said Nigel was going to give us. You'd be tearing the old manager a new one after today. -

Isnt it time to name-and-shame "the group behind the scenes" ?

Not saying the future isn't important, but history is a big party of any football club (well maybe not MK Dons:)). I don't want my saints heros of yesteryear tarnished, I don't want the current management to make out that some ex saints who bleed red a white are trying to destroy the club. But I also accept that if certain saints Legends are being cocks they need to stop it, its not helping the club, they are not entitled to anything free becuase of things they've done in that past. Thank f uck for Jason Dodd thats an example of how I'd like to see ex saints involved back in the club. -
Been their done that with my five year old:). Don't let the nipper do what my daughter did and leave it in a shop, trawling back through all the shops you've been in asking if anyone has seen a dragon isn't much fun.

bringing through the talent - and keeping it
doddisalegend replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
maybe the strain of keeping the system going? It does relay on finding a constant supply of good talent to keep the conveyor belt running having a few lean years on recruiting good young players has a knock on effect up the chain I suppose. -

ok so the Dark forces out to destroy SFC is in fact a saints legend. This is all very crappy (if true) A football clubs history is (at least to me) a very important part of the club, every club has it's legends, fans favorites etc. To my mind if these sort of people who are part of the clubs history want to be involved with the club it should be encoraged they are part of what make the saints I love saints. I don't want a club that trys to make out nothing much happened before Aug 2009 The flip side of the coin though is these same people shouldn't be expecting handouts from the club either nor should they be bad mouthing the club in public. I don't want my memories of club greats tarnished by them behaving like prats now. In ideal world the two sides would sit down of a couple of beers clear the air and move on, sadly it's not an ideal world. -
If we don't win that one I really will start to doubt are chances of going up this season.

It was more than trainning I think. Pardew old school manager wants control of all team matters, NC building new style lots of different people in control of different bits of the team = not going to work. I don't believe it was all happy families then summer comes and everyone falls out. More like a constant build up of pressure which final came to ahead but should have been sorted sooner. -
we might now we've lost Holmes? Dickson up to left wing? Lallana playing right and left to help cover Oxo, Mills back to cover LB behind Harding Possibly.

Sorry don't buy that. I can't believe the problems between AP and others didn't come to his attention during the off season, wouldn't mind bettting it was going on last season as well. -

Still don't think it's acceptable this season though, I really didn't expect the likes of Bompey and Charlton to be looking down on us from on high this season, still plenty of time but this season is not going at all like I thought it would. Should we really be 8th at this stage of the season? -

But NC said in his interview the plan is ahead of scheduale which suggests they didn't expect promotion last year ( would have liked it of course, but never expected it) so prehaps it wasn't an big an issue as some think. Apparently there is a big picture of NC and ML with the jpt trophy in the boardroom to which doesn't suggest they where upset to win the JPT either. Finally as I said before can you prove winning the JPT cost us promotion last year? (I really don't think you can) -

taken from the dinner with NC thread Pards basically wanted things done his way and didn’t listen to people telling him he was pushing the players too hard. Those people where the devolpment squad/sports science people so hardly suprising his rep is poor there with the academy. I now understand why Pards is gone. It's a case of old school manager wanting to be in charge of the way things are done and the team vs new style set up where lots of people are involved in different aspects of the team. Kind of reminds me of the Redknapp/sir Clive thing and just like that scenerio it wasn't going to work this time either. Funnily enough that is pretty much what the club statement said but no one believed it (some on here told me it was an out right lie). Pardew was sacked becuase he and his coaches wanted to do things one way and the chairman another, not becuase he made us play bad football or was ****ing fonte's misses or any of the other bull sh it flung around here. It also explains why Nigel feels the need to big up the backroom staff in every interview now. I'm satisfied now I'm going to stop joinning AP threads becuase I feel like I'm becoming the next Dalek2003. The only final thing I'll add if AP was sacked becuase of his insistance to do things his way (as stated by NC) this must have been obvious sometime before he was sacked so why the **** poor timming why not remove him in the summer? that one still doesn't make sense to me. Still AP will always be fondly remembered by me good luck to him at Newcastle (although I think it will be a nightmare for him ) -
Not bad Harding in for Dickson though, when oxo wears out (as he does around 70 mins) Dickson on to left wing and Lallana switchs to right side. Probably Chaplow for Morgan too. I think Morgan is good but he hasn't looked very bothered in the last few matches he has played, so rather have an up for it Chaplow.
