I think he was just refering to being beaten by tiny clubs at home league or no, Swindon (in the JPT) and Rochdale (in the league) were both games where the team showed little passion or fight just like saturday.

He knew that was the case when he took the job I'm sure he didn't go into the interview with NC and say "the teams gash I'll have to rebuild it in Jan and spend a load of money ok nikki?".

I doubt Fontes got anything to worry about. No manager in his right mind would leave a fit Fonte out of our defence after saturdays shambles .

A keeper what the hell do we need a keeper for? Even if KD has to be replaced (and despite saturday I don't think he does) Bart is an very good replacement, I think we have more pressing needs HTBH.

To be fair I thought NC did that with his BBC interview very positive, it was nice to see the Nigel and the players respond in such a positive way a couple of days latter.

I haven't checked the FA rules on this but I don't think we're allowed to do that;)

Dickson while looking good going forward does seem a bit light weight to me, I watched him closely against Cheltnham in FA cup and was hustled and powered off the ball far to easily and far too often I thought.

Replace them that's much easier than having the manager get the best out of them, any trouble makers stick em out on loan, anyone not up to scratch loan or sell them. buy buy buy. I mean the alternative would be to manage the players we've got and get them playing to their strengths thats a non start isn't it?

No I'm just wondering having read the HCDAJFU thread here are a few examples 2 strikers (one pacy, one to replace Connolly) 2 wingers (to replace Holmes and Puncheon) 2 centre mids (Chaplow looks nailed on, need one more and possibly another if Schneiderlin goes) 1 centre back (to replace Jaidi, this deal could be done at the end of the season) and another one Specific players - Le Fondre, Beattie (thought I'd get in early with than one), Chaplow on a perm. General requirements A winger with pace and height. Antonio would be perfect, but we wont get him. A winger with skill and technique. A big strong, but much younger, centre half to replace Jaidi and another One striker is paramount. Two would be great. An audacious double swoop on peterboro for Mackail-Smith and MaClean would be excellent. Buying an already succesful partnership would cut down on bedding in time and completey remove the burden and pressure from Lambert. Those two alse have experience in the Championsip. A winger seems neccessary but not essential to me. I do think we need a quality CM as well as signing Chaplow. We definitely need another CB as yesterday proved we are too vulnerable without Fonte. A keeper that commands his box, can kick and digstribute better than kelvin who for his shot stopping ability is not going to take us to the Prem! and another Chaplow, Harley, Le Fondre and Austin are bare minimum signings ie we have no chance whatosever of finishing top 6 without them. If we want top 2, we need to go further - Myles Weston, and some quality loans. A decent CB would help also.

Good thing we're not in the PL then

I know NC said money is avaliable for the right players in Jan. However reading some of the posts around it seems some people are expecting/wanting in the region of 5-6 new players if not more. It appears some think we don't just need to strengthen the squad but in fact re build it mid season? is replacement of half our starting 11 really resonable in Jan?

I know NC hinted money was there for Jan but I don't think he was planning to buy a whole new first 11. I reckon we might sign two-three players at most and Chaplow will be one of those. Most of all we need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net anything else is a bonus.

I can't help but like Kelvin even if he does makes a few cock ups, seems like a good bloke and a good servant to the club.

The last two years my university hasn't even bothered with clearing they are that over subscribed the demand is there the fees have to be priced accordingly. Capped fees will destroy univsersties already struggling under huge cuts in funding. Raising fees is the only way to go as far as I can see. If I'm honest considering some of the morons that pass for students were I work a shrinkage in the number of degree level students wouldn't be a bad thing (if my lively didn't depend on it). Studing degrees in such subjects as performing arts, American studies and film studies adds nothing to this country. Much rather we had more students learning trades than pointless degrees.

Rubbish I work in a university without this reform the universities would be f ucked (having lost over 40% of their goverment funding) I for one am glad the goverment have sorted this out otherwise I'd be unemployed within 12 months.
