Why are those not the teams we hope to be like?

yeah I can see that to a point (although I pay about £18.00 a game not £30.00). However there is always a point that will get to much for people. Arsenal for example charge £96.00 for the best seats in house for a cat A game the cheapest is £49.00 in the family enclosure. Cat B (someone like Wigan) games range from £34 in the family enclosure upto £67.00 for the best seats. Those sort of prices would see me going to SMS less not more, I appreciate other my feel different however.

Wierdly I can see crowd numbers going down as we go higher up the leagues becuase cost of watching Saints will become more of an issue when we reach the PL. To fill or near fill a larger stadium I would have thought pricing would have to be quite competitive.

You (and a few others) have got it into your heads that "The knives are out for Adkins". People mention they're not happy about certain things and you say stuff like this Adkins out... Yeah So while people keep assuming that everyone who is not super happy with everything that happens on the pitch are actually calling for Adkins to be sacked. I suppose I'll have to keep making the point.

Well as you started this thread apparently it does yes.

Some of the Europa League games around europe mid week seemed to take place in blizzards and no one seemed bothered.

You could have posted the exact same thing last season about the last manager. The thing is the chairman hires and fires managers not people message boards. The actual number of people who want Adkins sacked around here could be counted on one hand, pointing out that he doesn't get every thing right is not the same as wanting him sacked.

Doesn't matter to the point I was making though. I'd said all three managers have had poor results this season (TBH Wilikins had nothing but poor results) and as you've pointed out I was correct. If we don't go up this season all three managers have to take some of the blame for poor results Nigel will be the one in the fring line however as he will be the one in charge for most of the season and at the end of it.

That could have been avoided though by sacking Pardew in the summer rather than letting him start the season hopeffully NC won't make that mistake again. Also Nigel knew what the situation was when took the job I'm sure he didn't give NC such excuses when he took the job. He knew promotion was the goal and anything less is unacceptable.

I didn't say he was poor I said poor results. Unless you feel games like Brentford and hudders were good results?

There is still time to turn around for sure, problem is like last season we now need other teams to have loss of form to give us a chance IMO, it didn't really happen last season and might not this season. I was hoping we would do what Leeds did last season fly out of the blocks and stay in the top three of the league always very close to the top (if not top). Instead we've stuttered through to christmas with three managers (who have all managed poor results) I mean if some had told me we'd be in 10th the week before christmas at the beggining of the season I wouldn't have believed it.

come on here..... It is a bit odd don't get to many away matches. So normally retire to the garage to do "Man things" and listen to the match. Instead I've watched a DVD with the kids and wife this afternoon (nativity). This morning I enjoyed clearing snow from around the house plus a bit of snowman making and chucking a few snowballs around with the kids.

What almost as funny as those who kept having a pop at AP for not getting us promoted last season, now being really chilled out about us sitting in 9th this season (below the mighty Bournemouth) while claiming we're playing much better football than last year? I think the number of posters who want Nigel sacked can be counted on one hand. I do think NC might wield the axe though if we don't go up he has a lot riding on promotion.

How can anyone deny climate change? it has been going on since the planet was formed, the only questions are Is man speeding it up? What will the effects be? the answer to the first would seem to be yes. The answer to the second seems less certain, there are a few therioes out there. I've seen one that said the UK would become like north Africa and another one that said we would enter an ice age. As were are 54,000 years overdue a large asteroid hit more powerful than the worlds entire nuclear weapons arsenal, that could cause upto 90% of the earths spieces to be made extinct we might have other things to worry about sometime soon any way.

Possibly NC has said nice things about him, he seems to like Nigel. However it's a results game (and sometimes not even that, at least three managers have been sacked this season because the chairmen just didn't seem to like them) no promotion is a poor poor result.

Thats all very impressive but you could probably find a lot of managers higher up the leagues doing/having done a lot more with whole lot less of those qualifications. Nigels doing an alright job not spectacular but ok he is here until the end of the season come what may. After that it's down to how NC thinks he has done, but I suspect no promotion will equal no job.
