The whole point is that the players are all being told where to stand and what position to be in for every aspect of the game. If you watch closely you can see the players going to exactly where they are told. They are actually being ‘coached’ to do all the wrong things it’s bloody bizarre..... This almost without doubt includes Redmond.... In fact all the team including Forster being told to stand like a statue on his line and never come for a cross. If these players wearnt acting under instructions why aren’t they dropped? Ask yourself this.... We see good players playing well - we think but those same players are evidently not playing to instructions so ARE dropped the very next game! Pellugrino’s positional coaching is totally flawed! This guy is really very odd indeed... He must be gobsmacked that he has found himself in this elevated position ...

Ok even IF he is sacked after this game and it doesn’t look as though he wil be, the Management and lack of realisation of what has been going here for months is staggering.... This manager is worse than pub manager.... Lets not forget the dreadful lack of coaching both outfield and in particular in goalkeeping where the whole department has been a joke... There is some major clear out required... Pellegrino is awful however the problems reach far deeper too... The club is very amateurish these days. I wouldn’t blame any player for wanting to leave at the moment.

Errr no, Huddersfield were terrible and are not better than us. We contrived to select a team and tactics that couldn’t beat them, that’s all ..

Just read Pellegrino thinks that Huddersfield were ‘tough opposition’ He really is incredibly stupid....

We know that even if Pellugrino did have better players he wouldn’t play them most of the time so the argument is utterly pointless .... He doesn’t know who his best players are now !

This is a very accurate post... We are not in three competitions we are in one! Play your strongest team and stop pretending you know what you doing Pellegrino... All the evidence tells us his theories do not work both in results and in the lack of structures organisation of play. What I saw players doing today alone was a sackable offence by the Manager. Just watch the Pellugrino interview...., OMG This guy is completely lost. Calls for consistency but completely changes the team every game! We are consistently crap anyway!

Ok just back.... Absolute rubbish. Man for man every one of our players was better than theirs ... Yet they manage a draw away! Why? This why, they are coached we are not. There is no plan and no cohesion at all. When we did win the ball in defensive midfield Ward Prowse ran - flat out towards infield towards the congested centre circle????? Eliminating our width. This meant There was no outlet????? In fact the general theme was ‘run away’ from our player on the ball.... Redmond and Davies ???? Please ??? How on earth are these guys picked ? The pathetic little directions with the fingers to the players during the match were at best pathetic at worst a disgrace.... Forster - words fail me??? Could have walked out to collect the cross for their goal but stood on the line waiting for the ball to hit the net. I have not seen such uncoordinated rubbish of this magnitude ever watching Saints... This guy has to go now... literally anyone or no one would be an improvement..... No wonder, apparently the players have no respect for this manager it is just unbelievable to watch...

Disgusting the whole way through and obvious lack of coaching!!! Have never seen such turd from Saints in 50 years. If the manager is sacked for gross negigence there is a more serious issue than I thought. The coaching is abysmal !!!!!!!!!!

Just read that Pellegrino says he will rotate again right through the next few games. This guy is just to ‘clever’ He does not need to rotate, we are out of the league cup and have been for months. Players need to gel and when they do he changes it all again immediately. He hasn’t repeated the line up since beating Everton even! He is just off the pace and full of his own importance.

Let’s face it .... Tadic will be on the right where he is non existent ditto Redmond on the left. If this happens again then Pellegrino should be sacked - end of ....

We do definitely have a high opinion of ourselves and that is arrogance. We - as in Reed and the chairman preach a lot about the Southampton way as if we are superior in some way... We are not and those two are !

Eric Black resigns due to an abject failure to coach players who obviously have issues that are not addressed. In addition team tactics have been very suspect during his whole term at the club. This situation has lead to Southampton FC happily accepting his resignation though we thank Eric for diligently taking the club backwards during his term of office. For this service he was well respected by the players who enjoyed the lack of success in the period and his wonderful company. Ok then - if you say so..... Now what is Pelligrino made of..... From the evidence so far, similar fluff....

Sorry but lots of people are missing the point here. We are not getting the most from the squad we have..... Whilst we continuously chop and change the team to the point of utter confusion pointlessly dropping players who play well and playing players out of position with zero coaching we will continue to go backwards... It’s the management and lack of coaching to the players that is hurting us and nothing deeper or more meaningful than that....

The Redmond Tadic issue has not been sorted by a mediocre coach who does not see what is going on on the pitch in front of him.... No longer acceptable - a Tiro league coach would have seen those very simple issues by now but not MP.... Anyone could do better
