  1. Wrong-it's too expensive and people are adverse to the money going to line already rich players to extravagant levels..
  2. Oh really....?? I don't think so..... he has moved on and in all honesty it is his loss.... Don't give him any attention at all... A player who gave good service got paid well and then his age cauhgt up with him and mistakes became regular... Forgive and forget... A typical West Ham signing.... not a great loss for us at this time and a rapidly fading light...
  3. Ummmm interesting idea.....
  4. Much of the 'coaching' in British football is very poor... Ewe have seen that with our own recent managers and coaches... Poch stood out as a very observant coach. We still have Goalkeepers who don't come for easy crosses and one footed so called 'Proffessional' footballers in the first team. We do not coach closing down the player on the ball properly and that is just the basics so God knows what the coaching is like on more technical aspects of the game! So called coaching in football seems to consist of whether it's a 4321 or 442 and that's about it... We need employ coaches from more technical sports to coach football. There are far too many people in proffessional football with poor coaching skills...
  5. Well Shlong did his very best to head it straight at the goalkeeper who was so surprised at his generosity that he threw it straight back to him to eventually kick it over the line from 4 1/2 inches..... We really do need someone who can take easy chances... Not that is by any means the only issue ...
  6. Enough smoke and mirrors there to sink a super tanker. If Forster was second or third in analysis you could begin to split hairs, however he is almost last ! Our eyes tell give us very good evidence and now the statistics back up the compelling opinion of most fans. If you gave a margin of error for both Forster has still been very poor... The evidence we available and method of the statistical analysis at just over half way through the season is indeed compelling and though you may question small possibilities of error, they certainly small... Let's suppose the error went against him? Let's face it he has been below average.....at best...
  7. As much as anything I want to see some pressing, a high line and positive football. I don't want to see 9 players strung out in two lines across our penalty area... we are playing a depleted Norwich side and should play to win convincingly.. I do expect rotation tonight but not wholesale in the league games. Even bloody Lincoln City can run flat out closing down for 90mins and so should we able to do this as a Premier League outfit or should that be 'unfit' .....
  8. Why nonsense??? Forget splitting hairs on your complicated criteria.... On average most of the degrees of difficulty of saves will be the same. Our eyes do not deceive us, the statistics are unlikely to lie...
  9. Overall the silence is deafening.... There appears to be a distinct smell of complacency around SFC at the moment... I am wondering where we go if things go badly in the next two weeks or so.... Ummmmm We March On .....
  10. Have to say that is very tired worn out argument that holds very little water when your Chairman advertises that all our players are permantly for sale anyway ! So what are we trying to build here and what will we build it with if we keep selling our bricks a mortar?
  11. And the reason for that is blindingly obvious so what exactly is your point .... we have been very poor lately - because ???????? We sell our best players continuously and Ralph has now publicly put what we have left on the market..... The guy is just bizarre .... So we can expect no change in policy and so we will not grow as a team or a club. The fan base will therefore also not grow and will show similar apathy when it suits them.... The Chairman shows poor leadership in his statements and actions and talk of Champions league is cheap when he demonstrates a lack of ambition on the field and a lack of resolve to match when it comes to building the team. A distinctly disagreeable character with no substance imo ....
  12. Stones is in fact very overrated ..... Generally quite poor
  13. Points to one thing yet again...... Weak goalkeeper .... He's not helping Puel's case.....
  14. Unfortunately whilst we are lacking some quality here and there Puel is really making just too many changes, even today! He really has to work at repeating the team that works. I don't if he is too 'clever' for his own good or not capable..... The main horrendous decision was leaving JRod out.... what on earth was about and please don't say tiredness... Sims has looked excellent when played but doesn't get picked? Puel really does need to stop trying to be too clever and be more intuitive about the what he sees on the pitch. These results are not acceptable given the methods Puel dictates......
  15. Oh dear oh dear.... Forster has been poor ....
  16. Many many times actually...If JWP could do what he did even though Stokes was modestly good he would be contributing a lot more than he actually does.
  17. Come come you do Bobby a disservice surely.... Shane Long for me...
  18. Open to conjecture but your statement is still wildly inaccurate .....
  19. That is quite a rediculous statement
  20. Precisely!! As I said on another thread certain players play all the time and some are rotated all the time. Puel can't have it both ways. Even with massive rotation we don't press or close down and therefore don't work as hard as Tottenham for instance..... We are not fit enough.....
  21. Have to agree with some of this. One of our fundamental issues is not closing down and lack of pressing. We don't close down to prevent crosses and often shots. Particularly when we score we retreat almost into the stands ! It really has been bizarre and not addressed by errrr coaches. I know Plymouth managed this at Liverpool but this was against their youth team and any team can succeed at this risky tactic in the odd occasion but it's an even more suspect tactic with our dodgy goalie and mistake prone defence. We must play a higher line. If we stand back and admire Liverpool we will be in Queer Street very quickly.... Why haven't Management seen this and addressed it - have they worryingly even grasped its happening??? I know we have a few average players and all that but tactically we really must get a grip.... Our defensive five are not good enough to employ the current tactic. I'm not even sure any team can afford to employ the stand on your own goal line strategy..... I'm afraid if Puel does get the instructions wrong against Liverpool then he can only blame himself for the pressure which will come upon him.
  22. A good take on the situation. Our 'Senior' players have been struggling so this is an excellent opportunity to go with younger lot who have all done very well and arguably should be playing more-particularly Sims and Hesketh who played well and got immediately dropped/sorry 'rotated' (ok I know Hesketh got injured) What will be annoying is if this team play well and then he makes a whole pile of changes yet again.... We need a more settled team and Puel needs to play that team regularly. Rest one or two but not half the team! Anyway rotation is actually not logical. Some players seem to play every nearly every game and others are 'rotated' all the time. If it is actually 'rotation' and not 'meddling' then change em all !! There is a lot of smoke and mirrors with Puel's strategy... Bordering on BS.
  23. Very well put indeed....
  24. Sentimental clap trap
