  1. Oh please, he was awful.....
  2. Errrrr that is comment is well off the mark.... People have rightly been asking questions of Dave Watson all season...
  3. Well Pain has to be up there but Ron Davies was awesome as were several others already mentioned... Personally thought Dave Armstrong was very underrated also ....
  4. Most definitely true..... problem is he doesn't have a 15m label on him so is obviously not good enough!
  5. Oh be quiet you sanctimonious silly boy!
  6. Yes true, however if 'constructive' has been tried with no response and you would expect it has been then the stick has to be resorted to in the end.
  7. No..... not true.... I pay you big money you perform or else..... Fair is fair..... You come the biggest club in the country you better expect to be good enough or accept critism....
  8. Unfortunate a 'massive step up from Danny Fox' is not a compliment.... Danny Fox is without a shadow of a doubt the worse left back we have had in the post 60s era. Shaw was only 17 so he is expected to make a few mistakes, however he was obviously very competent and destined to be a fine player. Moving to Man U the expectations are enormous and being wanted by them would turn some players heads - did it turn Shaw's ? Maybe it did and now being a mature player he is given no quarter and has to produce form and quality to play which is sometimes the difference between at team like us the top six which brings me back to Danny Fox in a convenient way..... A player who mistakenly thought he was good and was actually very poor but somehow got into our team....
  9. Why only 50m ? We always undervalue our assets ..... If Pogba is worth 90 odd million and he is crap why only 50m? Plenty of teams want him so get them to pay really highly for him.. Agree about his positioning which is quite often suspect. Don't tell the Barcelonas of this world though..
  10. Because we would be over run in midfield end of.....
  11. I did say exactly that a few months back... we are often exposed at the back with our 'wing backs' very advanced... Three at the back would cover this risk .. Also with Davis starting to flag it would load the midfield more and enable a more expansive attacking threat which is lacking without Gabbi...
  12. Apart from the obvious point here that FF has been very poor for quite a long time now you have to say the goalkeeping coach should be sacked going on what evidence we have for all the technical reasons raised above which are simply not addressed in any way. I would guess the goalkeeping coach is a total waste of space.
  13. He's got his move to a top eight club who are 'living in the past' according to their best player, who should know! It was a very strange move and made bacause no big clubs wanted him..... He has made his bed and it hasn't done him any favours when big clubs look at him now.... I expect him get a bigger club at some point but not to succeed. I really cannot see one of the big four or five taking a punt on him here..... Koeman would have failed miserably here this season and he knew it which is why he ran off to the first bolt hole he could find lording them as a 'big club' yeah right ok, what ever you say .....
  14. Sell him at exactly the right time - pure genius. How Wet Spam couldn't see he is now crap is beyond me..... usual Hammers trick buying spent players for over the odds.... Strange strategy...
  15. Without wishing to drone on too much about this but..... FF just has to be dropped now. He is all over the press and radio as well as both of the major forums as being poor at the moment. He will have read and heard all this which will further dent his form and confidence. This renders him an increasing risk whilst playing for the first team. He now needs to regain confidence in a secure environment away from pressure, this can only be achieved by a few games playing for the under 23s. To continue playing him with most people starting to agree he is poor at the moment would be a bad management decision. Give him a rest there is nothing to lose and probably lots to gain both for him and the team.
  16. Well it's good to know that at least we have established he is not on form and hasn't been all year - now what? Do you propose we do nothing or pop him in Ressys for a while to 'regain his confidence' as they used to say and do.....? What is precisely the length of time given to out of form players before they are dropped? Is there a formula you would use? A goalie is pretty critical when it comes to carrying out of form players.... I would suggest 5 or 10 games but no more ....... Are you suggesting a couple of seasons?
  17. Careers in for Forster ...... ?
  18. This seems to have turned into a tactics thead.. We are playing some great attacking football but to be very honest we are very vulnerable defensively. Everyone is very advanced and we have nothing to defend with when the opposition break. Our full backs are way up the pitch too and we do need to fine tune this aspect of our strategy. For what it's worth I like Tadic on the left but no way on the right. He also looks pretty good in the No 10 role you have to say. I would say this system could develop to a three at the back so that we are not as exposed down our flanks in the transition. Just an observation ....
  19. But that was last year ???? This year he has been pants.... Let's face it he has so what about the solution to the problem because there is a strong consensus that FF is costing us games... Pundits and fans alike can see it...
  20. THE GUY WAS KNaCKeREd totally and could have got injured in that state !!!!! He had to come off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell.... Crikey!
  21. FF was never actually that good. We have had great defences and defensive midfielders which protected him that's all. Firmly believe that he really cannot carry on being picked because literally everyone knows he's awful now which will only encourage our opponents to attack and shoot on sight... The whole dynamic of games will and has been changing because of his blindingly obvious failings. MUST BE DROPPED....
  22. For those who didn't notice Gabby was dead on his feet.... To have left him on the pitch that tired would have risked serious injury. The decision to take him off was 100% correct. Watch the game and not the emotion......
  23. First of all greatest of respect to Puel..... However there is one very 'Duff Tool' he continues to pick when even Gazza would be an improvement but the new fella needs to be given a go now.....
  24. Hardly 'knee jerk' he's been crap all season!
  25. Who knows but the team are certainly carrying him!
