Great draw for us and a lot of all Premier League ties. I cannot however see many of the lower league teams progressing being drawn away at bigger clubs Eg Newport, Crawley, Lincoln Gillingham. It would be nice to meet one of them in the last 16.

Let's face it. Most neutral pundits spend 90%of their time wanking over the big 6. Newcastle, West Ham and Everton sometimes appear on their radar but the likes of us, Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace, Brentford barely register. Most of them know, and care very little about us. We may well go down this year .... but it is a very rare season that no pundit predicts relegation for us from the Prem and so far 🤞 it has only happened once.

There is also "the old boy's network". Most of the pundits and the coaches are ex players. Changing the coaching team and removing (English) coaches would not have gone down well with many of them.

That's a fantastic idea . I think their anthem is great. A few years ago I went to Rome to watch the egg chasers play Italy. We walked into the stadium (admittedly after a few beers) just as the Italians were finishing their anthem. The atmosphere was fantastic and made the hairs stand up on the back of your neck

Whilst watching the Commonwealth Games and seeing English gold medallists serenaded by Jerusalem, I thought how good it would be if that became our national anthem. God Save the Queen is such a dirge and doesn't set the blood running in the same way as Jerusalem. The England cricket team come out to Jerusalem. Surely that should be our anthem.
