  1. I know this is very silly, but for some reason I have a feeling we will get a point tomorrow..........................I know it makes little sense, but just something inside says it will be 1-1 & Ramirez will score. Probably be 4-1 to Stoke now I have said that!!!
  2. We are wearing Yellow. My youngest 2 lads are the mascots too! Middle lad is at the Stoke development centre so should be fun. They have a couple of weaknesses. Vulnerable to pace & width. It's a pity Lallana is injured. Getting a point would be a real bonus.
  3. What a surprise Ottery having a go at Morgan..........................................................But Lambert can do no wrong!!!!!
  4. Very poor today. Bad selections by NA. Jay Rod has his best game for us against Reading so he drops him!!! I know you are not allowed to criticise Lambert, but he was poor. That does not make him a bad player or mean I am not grateful for all he has done. He just had a bad game. Puncheon was to slow to pass a number of times. Getting caught in possession. We nver used the wings! DeRidder hd 3 free kicks from the left & not once did Shaw offer him an option outside. No one played well IMHO. Need a least a point at Fulham............
  5. We maybe able to thank RL for the stadium GM, but I would rather thank the with profit policy holders of Friends Provident who actually settled for a fraction of the outstanding balance! Lowe paid himself & cronies dividends, bought back shares & managed to acquire shares for himself. He got booted by WH Ireland, he got booted by Moragn Grenfell & he eventually got booted by Southampton Leisure Holdings. He was & is no business god. In fact when you look at his record quite how he managed to get a retirement home company to take out a football club is probably his biggest achievement! At least Wilde had created businesses, managed businesses & made profits! I will thank Lowe for the stadium, but it could have been so much easier if he had acted on the Stoneham project as soon as he took over. Anyway back to the the fish ****ers. It's about time they simply die & fade away!
  6. Important win. Reading are a horrible team. Hoooooff!!! Ref rubbish as most have been this season. Clyne, Cork, Yoshi & most of all Shaw all very very good today. Thought the booing of Guly was wrong even if the substitution was a little bit dodgy. As it happened Guly played well when he came on. What has Mayuka got to do to get a game?? Jason Roberts is a complete tool!!!
  7. They have been terrible all season. Right from Howard Webb not awarding a pen at The Etihad. We dont seem to be getting the rub at all. Morgan gets taken out on the edge of the area & he waves play on. Roberts backs in to Yoshida - free kick. Even Adkins has started to comment about it!!
  8. I know i am biased, but what has Lambert got to do to get a free kick? I really dont think we have had the run from Ref's in the PL all season. Maybe NC should go and meet the ref's like the Chairman of Chelsea did & ask why??!!
  9. Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday is hurting. Nige needs to be brave. Mayuka on either Morgan or Cork. May as well lose 2-0 and try to score.
  10. Bassong was shocking for Wolves last year. It was Bennett who kept Rickie quiet with Tettey stood in front of him. Rickie gets nothing from refs
  11. Not great tonight. Team looked tired. Shocking goal to concede. I don't think we won a second ball all game. Ref rubbish too. We don't seem to get the rub from any of them this season. Thought Morgan was poor tonight. Puncheon a little bit better. Rickie was moaning a lot at Gazza for hs kicks, but was not great either. Either Shaw or Clyne for mom.
  12. 400 mile round trip for me yesterday & the roads were really ****..............................3pm on a Saturday is match day IMHO!!!!!
  13. I said to the lads on Sunday that he glides with the ball. I still think he is getting used to the PL though. He goes down to easy for my liking, but I think he will overcome that. There was a move in the game on Sunday where he was running left, stopped & turned back right in nano seconds. His balance is awesome. That for me is the sign of top quality. Dont know if you noticed, but he was also the ost forward on some occasions too. Lambert was in the hole. Williamson did not follow Lambert & that space got filled by GR. Mind you he still a bit of an unkown & i think PL managers will start to get people to wind him up & start kicking him to get a reaction. Lets hope he continues with the class he clearly has. And for the record, my 10 year old got offered £40m on Fifa13 for him. I told him to sell him, but he said he wouldnt all Saints ever do is sell their best players......................thats why Forecast is still here!!
  14. Adam looks better in a 4-4-1-1 formation. That 4-5-1 was hurting everyone. Cork was great yesterday. Worked hard both ends of the pitch. If you noticed him & Morgan were sitting in front of the back 4 defensively & worked really well together.
  15. Very poor. Very inconsistent. Ramirez goes down to easy, but Williamson actually had both arms round Lambert & still the ref did nothing. Throw ins were a total joke!
  16. Just in. Great result. Cork was excellent. Ref & linesmen totally shocking. Cant wait for Norwich.
  17. I really really hope they go down now!!!
  18. And what he called Ashley Cole isnt racist?? Isn't he mixed race as well??
  19. Well chuffed! Couple of scoops tonight me thinks!
  20. This makes very little sense. All this does is shine a light negatively on the club. If there was/is a dispute with the contractor then communication both ways endeavours to sort it. That does not work so litigation starts. We then dont turn up to defend ourselves................................... On any level this is poor. FWIW - its not the way to run a business. If we fel wronged w should fight in court to seek a fair outcome. We couldnt even be bothered to turn up. I have no conspiracy theories, but something aint right at Saints at the moment IMHO!
  21. 2 centre halfs, 1 left back minimum IMHO. Dont think we will get them, but you never know. We would then have quite a big squad so we should thin it out. Guly, Butterfield, Hammond, Seabourne, Barnard & DeRidder to leave. We then take another look in the summer depending on what division we are in.............. Dawson & Douglas the centre backs, but am really struggling to think of a left back................
  22. They signed PL experience in goal & defence. They came down with people like Carlton Cole. Paid Nolan £50k a week in the champ, signed a £35m paid striker & pay him £70k a week AND more importantly did not **** about with the formation that got them promoted!!!!!!
  23. All Mayuka does is make a mockery of our summer spending. Without doubt the boy can play, but when we signed Ramirez & Jay Rod the last thing we needed was a striker. We had Sharp as 4th choice let alone Barnard. We choose to play 4-5-1 (bo11ox to this 4-3-3) which requires just the one up front. Never forget us lumping the ball up to him against Man Utd when NA took Lambert off. What we needed was defenders.........................................Lot of people laughed when WHU signed Collins, but he is better than what we have.
  24. Yep.......Man Utd never play it or win anything!! Utter bollix. The key is to be flexible, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2............amend formations within a match too. Our problem onMonday was that we did not pass the ball to each other well enough in the opposition half! QUOTE=ant;1520169]4-4-2 is dead at the top level. 4-2-3-1 is without doubt the best setup for the players we have rather than the way we'd like to play. This is our current best lineup in my opinion: Gazza/Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox Davis Schneiderlin Mayuka Ramirez Lallana Lambert You can switch Puncheon in for Mayuka if you so prefer, but I think he's been more effective than Jason so far. This setup gives the back four far more protection and you can pack the midfield whilst defending if necessary. On the attack it essentially gives Gaston a free role - typically playing as the most advanced of the front three midfielders, almost in a CF position. I think he's wasted out wide as most of our best moves tend to go through him as the playmaker.
  25. Hammond is good spoiler, not a great passer. Our problem is we cant keep the ball. Davis & Ramirez gave it away more than anyone else last night.
