Not quite as simple as that .... The League know full well that Saints (as any other team in the same boat) are going to appeal against the 10 point penalty The legal jargan of the FL, is that they are expecting Saints to now say that SAINTS went into Admin, AS WELL as the HOLDING Company ..... THAT is the issue. If the League now treat Saints as a "separate" entity, then they know they cannot legally enforce the 10 point penalty

It is now pretty obvious that the stumbling block to the takeover is THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE ....... they are absolutely determined to get their "Pound Of Flesh", ie, the Ten Point penalty Looks like they are bloody minded enough to let a Takeover Fail for their own selfish "saving of face" PITIFUL .... It would of course not cost as much in Div 1, but still a substantial amount IS required I am however surprised about the approach to Keegan, if true My money was definitely on Gordon Strachan ..... Coincidence ???? All those years ago, Lawrie McMenemy unvieled Keegan as a Saints PLAYER... Now, 2009, Keegan may be unvieled as the Saints MANAGER ...... IMHO, I would suggest Lawrie Mac being involved somewhere along the line ....
