I got on solana a few months or so ago...paid 236, it's now 118. Lost half. That'll learn me for choosing a fund named after the hotel in Benidorm.
-
Absolutely. I've lost a big chunk recently, as have many people. I intend to do absolutely nothing, except invest when the new tax year begins if the market is still on its arse.
-
That makes me a curry!!
-
That's all that need to be said. Spot on.

Indeed. A change of diet can transform lives and health. People need to educate themselves on what they're doing to their bodies, and their kids. Sadly people seem to think that their care is somebody else's problem, and that meds are the fix.

Indeed. I had a friend who emigrated to Oz, and within months of coming back was awfully ill. No energy, pain, not sleeping which impacted MH, generally a mess. GP tried to throw anti depressants at him and wouldn't test for vitamin d. He refused the pills, did a private test which showed that his levels were scarily low. He got pumped with vitamin d and was a new man. Many people wouldn't have questioned the doctor, would have taken the pills, and never addressed the actual issue.

Cheers. There's a consistent theme of ultra processed 'food', excess sugar/carbs, insufficient sunlight, under activity (physically and socially) being at the root of poor mental and physical health.
-
Interesting. Do you have a link to the article please? I suspect reducing carbs (sugar) and adding loads of vitamin D, would bring the numbers down more.

Musk is a vile piece of work. Vile.

Good, and well done for calling out the US "unpredictability".

Nice alternatives! Betting against Saints is something I never usually do, but a defeat was inevitable and Smallbone as a DM had yellow card written all over it. Or so I thought.

Agreed. I'm more annoyed that he didn't get booked as that messed up my accumulator.
-
I didn't expect that from the tombola. 460 with a false nine or two perhaps. Bizarre.

Lowe's been using linkedin as a political tool for a while now. Fair to say he doesn't get masses of engagement. Anyways, he posted this late last night.

The irony of you dredging up an old post, and using it to single out a poster calling him a "narcissist", whilst whining about being harassed on the forum, appears lost on you.

Jesus wept. I didn't post what I posted as a discussion piece. It was my opinion. If you want a response, it's that you responding to a post from last month, and expecting to draw me into something, is pathetic. I couldn't give a monkeys what you think of people and/or what they think of you, save that the spats and name-calling are boring/stupid/needless.

Indeed. All while Israel are playing havoc in the West Bank, and settlers are doing their bit too. The fire needs dampening, not Trump's fuel added.

Hamas are now threatening to kill hostages, and appear to admit murdering some. https://www.skynews.com.au/world-news/global-affairs/hamas-threatens-to-kill-hostages-in-chilling-video/video/461bd6aab27385f007c8754b5ebad0c1 Horrible situation for the hostages and their families. Not sure how this ends, but these threats alongside Trump's earlier this week, suggest not very well.

When you find yourself applauding french blokes, and the Chinese Foreign Minister who said this, you know the world's gone nuts: “There are more than 190 countries in the world,” Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday in response to a question from CNN’s Steven Jiang about US President Donald Trump’s “America First” policy. “Should everyone stress ‘my country first’ and obsess over a position of strength, the law of the jungle would reign again, smaller and weaker countries would bear the brunt first, and international norms and order would take a body blow,” he added. “No country should fantasize that it can suppress China on the one hand and develop good relations with China on the other.” “This ‘two-faced’ approach is not only not conducive to the stability of bilateral relations, but also unable to establish mutual trust,” he added “A big country should honor its international obligations and fulfill its due responsibilities. It should not put selfish interests before principles, still less should it wield the power to bully the weak,” Wang said, adding that China “resolutely opposes power politics and hegemony.”

Superb speech, says it all perfectly.

You 2 are as tragic as each other. Quick point - people are interested in what mad Donny is doing/saying, not whether you and SoG want to get it on in a Travelodge.
