    Russia

This will likely be a "malfunction" of the control system or some such and all but be forgotten by Trump tomorrow. Whilst unconnected, when Israel can get away with literal murder in other sovereign nations, it's not surprising that Russia will test the boundaries.

Ha! You joined a chorus of people branding SoG as anti semitic, which he isn't, but your attitudes to the deaths of Muslims is appalling. To crown it, you mock him for highlighting his non white acquaintances, whereas your persona sometimes claims to have a Muslim wife. Glasshouses/stones.
  3. We don't operate the catering side, so we don't make make or lose money as such. That said, whether the external company are paid a fee to cover these games which may be a loss leader for them, we won't know. Ticket costs were a tenner and three quid for kids. If we assume half were adults, that's £26k in ticket sales. Operational costs are more than a few salaried staff, none of whom would normally be working. I think it very likely that cleaning staff, grounds people, security, and all other operational staff are being paid extra for the shift. Our friends at chat CPT estimate a total of £30-40k per match operational costs. £26 minus £30-40k = a loss.

You've shown yourself to be an inhumane cunt during this "war" mate. There's universal outrage amongst normal thinking people about what's going in Gaza, and what's happened in Qatar, for good reason.

Even Trump is talking more sense than you over the Qatar bombing, acknowledging that it doesn't advance either US or Israeli interests. Or to put it another way, that it was a stupid idea.
  8. How have we gone from people voting in the knowledge that their tax bill won't go down (and will probably go up) to the ridiculous idea of popping an unsolicited cheque in the post to HMRC?! For feck sake.
  9. Dennis is proper proud of taking that coin to the head and getting on with it. That long throw leading Moran's goal is pretty much an assist imo. Hero.
  10. You're making less sense as the day goes on mate.
  11. Nobody "wants" to, or has said that they do. Rather, some people accept that paying less has a knock on impact that they're not comfortable with, and that paying more should achieve the opposite.
  12. That's a daft hypothetical. I don't vote with my bank balance in mind, and I'm comfortable that my vote is always in favour of a taxing party. If I voted for a party with the primary intention of keeping more cash in my pocket, regardless of the impact on society (less necessary spending for example), then my outlook is selfish (and greedy). I get that you don't see that, and that's because are politics and outlooks are at opposite poles. I'm not getting into a strike debate. CBA.
  13. Alas many wealthy people are selfish. Not all though, fortunately.
  14. Seems a strange punt to me. He's got minimal chance of getting past an injury free Pope, and zero chance of getting near England sitting on a bench. He'd have had some chance of getting in if he'd played for us, albeit someone above him will have needed to fall out of form or become unavailable. He'd definitely have had more chance playing for anyone in the prem. Just seems a really odd move to me.
  15. "Individual priorities" is an interesting phrase. I interpret that to mean an individual willingness to pay tax, which flows from our political leanings. Left leaning folk are more willing to pay tax and spend (sensibly) for the benefit of all, whereas right leaning folk want to pay as little as possible, often without much concern for all. Circling that back to "priorities", I spose it's whether we prioritise ourselves or society.
  16. I think Aribo offers us something that'll help. Edozie has never convinced me, but he'll do a job if needed. Although the squad is still too bloated, having these lads around until January is no bad thing.

The fact that we're discussing it suggests that it has done something.

Indeed. For many it was a dual protest. Protesting specifically against the proscription of PA isn't possible.
  19. Thanks for the condescending instructions on how to speak with someone mate, much appreciated.
  20. To be fair, assuming half the crowd are kids and half adults, chat GPT estimates that the crowd the other day was close to break even, only losing half a million or so over the season. Bargain.
  21. Her view will be interesting, and I'd imagine she loves novelty of the big stadia. I wonder how she'd feel if the tickets weren't so heavily subsidised meaning the crowd was half or less. Soulless I'd imagine. Please feel free to highlight where I've said what you say I have (save for not watching it).

Thanks, so we agree that peaceful protesters were carted off unceremoniously. Were the arrests unnecessary in your opinion? Given your unwillingness to criticise the IDF behaviour, I suspect not but I thought I'd ask.
  23. All views are welcome, but I see it as a levelling up gimmick, and not something done on merit per se. Duck's point appears to be that doing that is condescending, and he's got a point. I see one of the women players from time to time and when I see her next I'll ask her how the players feel.

Were they protesting peacefully? It's a simple yes or no, but I'll assume that you agree that they were unless you say otherwise. And we know why they were arrested. Stupid of you to question it.
  25. 1. No. It's virtue signalling. It's not doing something on merit or for commercial reasons. The youngsters (male) get to play there as they're being developed, and that includes development for playing in bigger stadia. The women won't do that. 2. Ridiculous comment. The men will never struggle to sell out 4k seats, especially when they're all but being given away. Imagine if tickets at the weekend were even half the mens price. I'd hazard a guess the attendance wouldn't have broken 4 figures.
