Obscene on every level. Businesses and people going to the wall while these energy companies and their shareholders are profiting at record levels. Shameful that regulators aren't imposing immediate caps linked to wholesale energy prices, and governments not heavily taxing profits.

That's from someone called Andy Hollis... good blog though, thanks for the link.

If I read through those millions of posts ^^^^ would it tell me any more than he's still here?
-
Yep, crystal clear message - get him gone.
-
Cheers. My mind's made up from that. He says "no, not at all" when asked if there's "outside noise" about compromise. It's him. The rest of it is horrific. It sounds like he's almost fighting with himself. Very bizarre.

Thanks for that Duck. Giving players is very much part of the modern game to be fair. The management part of the role is limited to training, tactics, team selection, managing players and expectations. Everything else is done by others. You may be right that the SR influence doesn't extend into the dressing room, and hopefully that's correct.

On my last paragraph, it's a wee bit more than a feeling, but nothing substantial enough to put it any higher than that. On your second paragraph, Jones isn't shy, and hasn't been shy about throwing his players under the bus. He was very guarded, and I'm very open minded about the influence he refers to. That all said, whatever he meant, he's a dead man walking BUT I'd hope that any new man is allowed to work autonomously.
-
No conspiracy theory from me. It's Jones who has said that he's been made to compromise. A discussion about who's behind that is absolutely the right thing to do... ignoring it isn't.
-
The "best in Europe on the stats" point I take as no more than him highlighting what he was good at that got him the job, but that he's had to compromise and do something else, hence why we've been shit. Yep, he's absolutely not owning the disastrous results, but he's saying that there's influence. I still want him gone as his role is untenable, but there's shit going in that's a factor in that.
-
Yep, either or both. If it's players then it's his job to manage them. If it's SR though, he hasn't got a prayer (no pun intended). If it's players and SR, his authority is being undermined at both ends. My instinct, and it's only that, is that there is SR involvement somewhere. If that's the case, that interview could be a "fuck you SR, see where your way has got us. From now on I'm doing it my way, and bin me if you're not gonna allow that" kind of interview. As I've said above, the reaction on here has been superficial. That's understandable cos it sounds awful, but there's a depth to that interview that we don't know about.
-
Ha!! I don't at all, and I thought you were better than nonsense comments like that. I think he's a talented kid who's been thrown in before he's ready.
-
Eh?!? It's a photo of where he was. That was the wrong place. I've read your various posts on this and it's fair to say you're out on a limb mate. He has been at fault for many goals against this season, that is undeniable.
-
I'm not sure it was inane. He had something to sayI. His message is "i've had to make compromises and as a result we're shit. I've not been allowed to do what I want. I'm better than that shit you've been watching". The interpretation on here of that interview is very superficial. There's much more going on than that.
-
Yep. That Blackmore interview throws up more questions than answers for me. He's clearly been doing as he's been told, but he doesn't say by who. He's content to point the finger of blame at his players, but he doesn't point the finger at them on the compromise issue. That could be him showing some restraint (bot his style though) or that he feels he can't say any more. I'm not convinced that Ralph had free reign over team selections, and I'm not convinced that Jones does either.
-
I get the impression that Rasmus thinks he's god, so you could be right.
-
I wander if that's what he was alluding to. Tactics and/or team selection being imposed on him.
-
Unless SR people are influencing the compromise. If it's them, they're arguably the bigger problem.
-
It's as intriguing as it is damning. Who is influencing his compromises? If it's player power, that suggests weak as piss management. If it's other coaches, it suggests he listens but doesn't trust his judgement. If, however, it's neither player nor coaches, it suggests influence from non football people. I'd like to know what the fuck is going on to be honest.
