People got far too excited about a kid who hadn't played mens football, and was about 4th pick for the England youth team.
-
I agree, but he managed to keep his place in a stoke team that the much lauded delap got dropped from!
-
Having been dropped to the bench in the championship, whereas our own Will Smallbone started. He was never the answer for us.
-
Yep. I don't see the point in giving him the chance to lose us 6 points. He's a lame horse and needs to be put out his misery asap.
-
Yep, what Bournemouth are doing shows that there's managers out there capable of stepping up and working well with average players. Potter did similar when he first went to Brighton.

What do SR do if we get some kind of result today? Won't happen, but by keeping him around, you've got to wander if they're giving him time.

Happy Sat'ur'day C'B

That's how I read it. Feels like it's being set up for a complete change.
-
I heard it live yesterday. He even said that people could read between his lines. It was a clear insinuation that SR had leaked it. Intriguing what he was saying about the SR guys running the football side of the business and the transfer deals, not Semmens. Strange goings on for sure.

These "he's paid loads"comments irritate me. No professional likes to not meet targets, underperform, fail, receive criticism, get the sack, etc. Getting paid loads won't make Ralph feel happy about the past year and his inevitable sacking.
-
It's more a case that he's taken us far as he can, it's gone stale, that he's dined out on his purple patch for long enough, that there's now a feeling of inevitability of relegation, so a change is needed.
-
I'm not sure they will. Defeat against us would be bad enough for them, but even worse if they put out a strong team. I think they'll play kids and fringe players.
-
There's zero chance he'd come here. He's arguably got a better squad to work with, has a proper centre forward, and a decent scouting network. He'll go somewhere proper next.
