  2. Yep, I was typing as you posted. You could slot AMN as cover either side, and Larios may look better on the left than in a 4 where Salisu would give the back post height he doesn't have. I'm surprised we've looked so shit with the system to be honest.
  3. I'm not a great fan, but properly coached, it can be effective. I think part of our problem is that the players didn't look comfortable with it because of how they were coached and/or how we were set up For me, it arguably suits our squad. Back 3 of CC, ABK, MS then 2 wingbacks (Larios doesn't look like a full back to me, but wingback is different), 2 in the middle, 2 number 10's supporting 1 up top or 1 number 10 and 2 up top. I wouldn't rule a manager out of that were his system - what I would rule out is a manager who couldn't make anything from players that he would inherit.
  4. Fat Sam would suit what Forest have assembled. It wouldn't suit us though as that squad is capable of doing well. Back to us, if Forest bin Cooper, I'd take him here.
  5. I don't think the defence is far behind either. People talk about a great window defence wise. In reality we've only upgraded CB but as the weekend shows, Ralph now has too many options and he broke up a decent CB partnership for reasons I suspect even he doesn't know. RB is ok whilst KWP is fit, pending Tino coming back. LB is still the average Perraud, a converted winger who can just about do a job, or a kid who looked far too small and naive to be a PL full back imo.

  8. Wow. Yeah, it's that easy! So an assumption that everyone has a better paid job within their capabilities, and that it's available. What's his advice for people who are at their ceiling? Turn the lights/heating off by the sounds of it.
  9. We've got boring football now, and shit results. I'd taking boring football, and half decent results.

  11. Ffs SOG, you're doing this on multiple threads. Have an opinion on the subject by all means, but the personal stuff is pathetic. Give it a rest.

  13. My Big Willy comment was tongue in cheek. He shouldn't be near the team. On the main part, I really struggle with the concept of a fan wanting to stick with a manager who he concedes is overseeing sub standard performances, because he can't identify a better available manager. If he's failing, which he is, he has to go, which he should.
  14. I'll ask my question again. Is it really your view that performances thus far have been good enough?
  15. If I was a betting man, I'd have a wager on him being the next PL manager out of a job.
  16. Please focus on this season. Talking about ex players in the context od what's happened so far, and what will happen without change, is frankly bizarre. Is it really your view that performances thus far have been good enough?
  17. Not sure who's the lesser of 2 evils mate. Maybe it's Big Willy time?
  18. Yep. Kids in goal in the PL rarely work. Gunn had talent in the world, but the stage was too big too soon. This kid's the same. Nobody is persuading me that we'd have done worse with Forster in there.
  19. What does the fortunes of the players who have moved on have to do with how the players we have now are being coached to play, and how they are performing.
  20. Yep. I'm not sure what signing that left back was all about. The keeper may come good in time, but I'd feel more assured with Forster in there.
  21. Yep. Whatever he's coaching the various groups of players to do isn't working. I'm not sure how anyone can argue against that. We need change urgently.
  22. However you cut it, we have 12 points from the last 60, sit a point above the relegation zone, and are playing shit. Please explain what you think will happen if he's given time. How long will, whatever it is, take?
  23. Yep. Get him gone now. Enough is enough.

    The Labour Party

I like him. I'm not sure about his ideology though in that he's not fully left nor new labour either. He's got honesty and integrity though, is bright, and garners respect - basically the opposite of Truss. I'm not a labour man, but I'd vote labour tactically to force change, and I'd be happy to see him as PM.
