It's not about the players not getting it, but the fans not getting that the players couldn't care. Stay up and all is good. Go down and the players who want a move, get a move without too much hassle. Indeed, I suspect several of our best players would be quite happy with relegation.

Thanks, good article. His achievement there is phenomenal but working with the divas in the Premier league would be a whole new ball game.

Leaving just Mcqueen as left back with Targett on loan. However you cut it, we're exposed.

Bring back four Saints players and a manager to save our season.

But just imagine how good MLT would have been with the fitness of a Poch trained player. -

Good fantasy football thread. Manager = Poch Alderweireld, Case, Mane and Shearer for me. Would improve us all over the pitch. -
I'm expecting a win today. Sims to play a big part, 3-1 to us.
-
He'd be a car crash imo. If we needed a caretaker, Jaidi, Craig Fleming or Danny Butterfield all have more coaching experience. Not saying they'd be any good mind.

24 teams - 21st is the new 17th.

Net spend over the last 2 season's transfer windows.

All good points, and then there's the pesky agents to pay, signing on fees, 'loyalty' bonuses to outgoing players etc. -
Why not try going through a day accepting that decisions have been made and that posting, again and again, about the same points on a footy forum will achieve the square root of f:ck all. Just a thought.
-
Good points, but not exactly related to the questions you were replying to! What's any of that got to do with whether this fella is a decent player or not?
-
Who's to say we didn't. Because we don't sign a player, it doesn't mean that we didn't go for him.
-
Putting aside the debate about whether he's better than we have, why would Silva take a job here and in doing so: a) take a hit on his severance package with Watford (that will be the case if he finds work quickly)? b) walk into a job facing relegation? If he has any sense he'll take Watford's money, lick his wounds, relax for a few months, then assess his options.

That's utter boll0cks. Wigley had great hair.
-
However you look at it, they're on a run as bad as ours, thus on current form he's no better than MP. It's current form that we need.
-
Our first eleven is stronger buy they have a much deeper squad, and better forward options. They've under achieved as badly as we have over the last few months.
-
They're on a run as bad as ours. Puel took us to 8th and apparently he was sh:t so don't tell me that league tables are the way to judge a manager.
-
Oh, that makes sense :/
-
Just to clarify, are people really saying that she would sack MP and replace him with a fella who has just been sacked for doing an equally bad job as him?
-
Once upon a time, figures have been shared with me, but not for a while now. Ramirez and Osvaldo were paid more than people believe we pay players now. As stupid a business decision as it would be, it is highly possible that we're paying 6 figure weekly salaries.
-
That team would get overrun all over the park. Imo our only hope of giving them a game is to keep it tight with Romeu, Hoj, and Lemina as a midfield 3, JWP wide right and Tadic left. Won't happen though.
-
The details of what we got in terms of infrastructure are irrelevant, but personally I see no commercial wisdom on spending £39m tarting up leased land, especially when £14m was the budget. In any event, this thread is about the merits of his return. That will never happen, fortunately.
-
Saved me the job, thanks.
-
A mere £25m overspend on the training ground, just a minor error. Not dismissed though, technically speaking.
-
Not part of the first team set up. Promoted to replace.
