  1. Training ground overspend = £24-25m Del. Car crash stuff.
  2. Wages = £96k
  3. My mate's a Swindon ST holder. He says Stephen's tailed off last season but that Turnbull got better and better. He rates Turnbull as the better prospect but thinks Championsip is his level and league 1 for Stephens.
  4. Good post mate. The number of idiots who label us fans as non fans just because we're able to recognise that our club is smaller than bigger clubs never ceases to amaze me.

To be fair, nothing above suggests that anyone is bothered about another forum. it's just a bit of squabbling with Chertsey / Jeff accusing someone of beating his wife and kids. Perfectly normal Saturday afternoon stuff.

Thanks for the warning. I'll pop over later to see who's character he's dragging through the mud.

Good summary Del. I'd heard much the same but wasn't aware that he was given an ultimatum, just that he had to go. No loss whatsoever.

A quick read of this thread, particularly the outrageous allegations from the idiotic but aptly named unbelievable Jeff, tells me which forum of the two I'd rather frequent. This forum has slid a long, long way. Don't get me wrong it's not the forum itself, just the number of people who post utter b0llocks for the sake of it. Get out and enjoy the sunshine ffs.

I understood it was the Staplewood £24m overspend. I suppose if you add the fees, agents fees and wages of these 2 you've got about 50 million reasons why his employer may have become a tiny bit unhappy.
  10. This is an update thread mate re Clyne and others. Discussing the club that Clyne may be transferred to on a Clyne transfer thread seems reasonable.
  11. I get all that but they're a bigger club than us, have more chance of competing near the top and will pay more. From a players perspective a move there from us is a no brainer. I don't like the fact but it is a fact.

Ha! That's about his limit to be fair.
  13. Yep. A move to Liverpool from us is an upgrade. Bigger ambition, club, stadium, wages, prospects etc. Sad but true.

The frustrating thing is that the talent is there. A year ago I was all for giving him a chance. He had that at Hull and didn't take it. His time's up.

I hope you're right on both, they've been expensive disasters.

Gaston has just bought a new car which suggests that he intends to stick around, or at least stay in the UK. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a role next season.
  17. Les loves Josh so he'll be given every chance. Like you though it's hard to see how he can get through. Personally I'd give him a season loan in league 1. Gallagher is seen to be further ahead in his development than seager and mcqueen. I can only assume he's being used in different roles so that he can give the first team different options.
  18. Assuming you can you read, you will realise that he battered someone for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Only an idiot would justify his behaviour.
  19. Good assessment. McQueen could be the one imo. Josh Sims is a great talent too but needs to bulk up as much as Hesketh. Those two have the ability but not the physique, at the moment.

Good post. Lots of the lads would have played more had we still been in the championship. We need to allow them to develop more at this level. Spurs have shown with kane and mason that biding your time with young players can be a good thing.
  21. Good points but he won't play on. Something will get sorted.
  22. Yep. Coaching role next season.
  23. Exactly. He's looked excellent for the under 21's and has to be given a go after Kelvin's performances.
  24. Jamies contract with Stutton has been paid up. Very sad for the lad. He was the scholar of the year back in the day and had a bright future. He wasn't thrown in before he was ready. He has been unlucky with some awful injuries. Granted, he looked on the way back whilst at Salisbury but it didn't quite happen for him. To be fair, when you're ahead of Theo as a scholar then find yourself at a conference south club it must be bloody tough.
