AMN leaving 10 yards of space for the winger beside him multiple times a game isn't going to go too well with Gnonto.
-
Don't love it but can't argue too much with the logic. COYR
-
McCarthy, Bree, Aribo and Edozie starting for the B team tonight.
-
Looks almost identical to Pedro Neto who is about 8 years older! I'm sure this thread will be bumped in a negative sense in about 2 years time.

Few fixture changes. Bournemouth at home moved to a Tuesday night which is going to be a pain. An additional note about the Arsenal game as well - Friday 21 April 20:00 Arsenal v Southampton (Sky Sports)* *This will move to 23 April, 19:00, live on Sky Sports if Arsenal are involved in UEFA Europa League the Thursday before. This is also subject to Southampton's participation in FA Cup semi-finals

With all due respect, you spend most of your time arguing against consensus about Elyounoussi and Bednarek whilst literally admitting you weren't watching the game we were talking about. You're comfortably the least informed poster on here at the minute and are just responding half the time to spark an argument. Are you Norwegian or something? I'd prefer it if you didn't waste my time replying to me any more going forward because I don't think I've got any value out of anything you've posted this month.
-
The bloke literally replied to me you weapon, could you get any more boring?
-
Don't think you need a specify a ground for that one.
-
Not going to flood the entire thread arguing about the guy so I’ll leave it there. Fingers crossed he’s not in the team, or fingers crossed I get quoted calling me a twat at 4:30 if he is.
-
The position he plays in the 4-2-2-2 is quite literally an attacking midfielder.
-
I mean half of that is remarkably self explanatory. Fair enough. I think the disagreement is the importance of this game then, for me this is an absolute must win. We can’t continue to give all the teams around us points like we have.
-
I'm not quite sure what you're confused about there, @Saint Garrett. This is not the player who you need in a must win game against 19th place Leeds. How anybody thinks otherwise is simply beyond me at this point. We've scored 2 goals (3 including JWP's rebounded penalty) from open play in 9 league games since the WC, we need more creativity in the team in these types of games and he is quite clearly not that.
-
MLG definitely has a good footballing brain in his defence, he's just also a bit of a tit. I think people need to remember we're playing catch-up now for the rest of the season, we need to be a bit more aggressive and that should lean into starting players such as Edozie in these attacking roles rather than Elyounoussi or AMN(??). Certain games are more set-up for Elyounoussi's work rate off the ball and absolute lack of talent, the next two are not those.
-
Elyounoussi's role on Saturday was to be very defensively minded, something which we do not need in an absolute must win game against probably the worst team in the league right now. He'll have to be far more involved in the offensive side of things than he was vs Chelsea, and the few chances he had at that are definitive proof that he should be nowhere near this team.
-
Is that Garth Crooks? That settles it, he really is shit
-
It is an unusual approach but I would do it simply because it is Bednarek. Rather get in before he costs us another game.
-
Just not having it with him. Appreciate the part in the clean sheet yesterday but we all know what'll happen soon. Get him out the team whilst we can.
-
I think people will use the "don't change a winning side" stick here, and whilst I completely understand the idea, you should still fine-tune little things where possible and necessary. Elyounoussi, Bednarek and AMN are the three players whose spot is debatable. Elyounoussi was terrible yet again in possession, and this is not a game where his defensive work rate should be needed. It's beyond laughable how bad he is offensively, every single week. I'd hope for either Edozie or Alcaraz to start here, or even both if Stu isn't capable of two games in a row at the moment. Bednarek had a good game, but he is quite literally a ticking time bomb. DCC doesn't seem any closer to being in favour so I'd bring Sali back in to have two very mobile CBs. I wouldn't be devastated with Bednarek starting, but I don't think I'll ever trust him. AMN had a really weird game, solid on the whole but 3/4 moments where his lack of urgency put him in a spot of bother and he was lucky to get away with them. Two solid games on the bounce though and with KWP not getting any minutes from the bench, I could definitely see him being eased back in against Grimsby instead. Bauznu KWP - ABK - Salisu - Perraud Lavia - JWP Armstrong - Alcaraz Sulemana - Onuachu This would be my preferred lineup for this one, although I'd be more than happy to see Edozie start for a bit more added pace and directness. It's an absolute must win, or must not lose? I think probably a must win.
-
If we win two in a row there is absolutely zero doubt he should get it. I agree in holding off until after the Leeds game but wouldn't be opposed to him getting it now whilst there's some feel good factor within the club off the back of today.
-
Good man. What a difference.
-
Just a brilliant footballer. It’s a real shame that even if we stay up, we probably only have a few months of him left. Be very surprised if he doesn’t end up at Chelsea.
-
*any other player on the planet* in for Elyounoussi vs Leeds and let's get at it I'd want Bednarek out for Salisu too because even he didn't today, he will always end up ruining our lives
-
A win vs Leeds next week and people can stop with the "we're already down give up" absolute bollocks
-
Perraud, Lavia, JWP and Onuachu probably the best of the bunch for me. JWP due to doing it for all 90 and the winner. Absolute legend of the club if we stay up this season.

I think Selles will get it on the back of that, whether it's a bit reactionary or not, go for it. Hard to stress the importance of a new manager getting an immediate result and the players buying in to what he's doing. Taking that into Leeds and Leicester is absolutely massive, rather than having some other shit manager (because let's face it, that's all there is available) have to prove themselves and get the fans onside etc. It's his until the end of the season after that, I'd be pretty sure.
