They're signing Kounde instead I believe, so wouldn't imagine anythings changed regarding Colwill's situation.
-
Feel like I'm just going to keep repeating myself so I'll leave it there, hope the kid does alright.
-
I mean we can all pick out one example of thousands. Plus I don't think it's remotely comparable considering Musiala was here for a matter of months.
-
That doesn’t change the fact that he won’t be playing Premier League football in the next few years unless he moves again. I understand the ultimate goal is to end up at a club like Chelsea, but he could’ve done that as a better player. Lots of hypothetical arguments regardless, but I imagine this will be a player we just forget about now.
-
Their academy player of the year had to seek a move to keep his career moving along. Dibling isn’t even to that level, he’ll have made money but on a professional level, talking about his footballing career, he’ll be finding a way out in a few years and trying to get back to a level where he could’ve been now.
-
Short term it’s a bad career move. Nothing more to it than that.
-
A better move than Newcastle, the wage they’ve apparently offered is obscene so we were never going to compete on that front. I said it before but even if he completely flops (which lots of promising players at this age do) he’s going to earn £2-3m minimum if they’ve handed him a 4 year deal. I can see why you’d do it but I’d struggle to say it’s a positive career move for him.

The Rory Delap’s son vs Vincent Kompany lure.
-
Not when we arguably have 4/5 other more important positions to fill. I'm not seeing it at all sadly, hope he goes elsewhere and makes a decent career similar to Obafemi.
-
One thing we really don't need to be doing is spending £15-20m & £50k+ p/week on a player to replace Diallo's involvement in the squad. I'd sooner use Smallbone where necessary and I think he's shit sadly.
-
Losing Diallo would be a bit of a shame, but I guess (should we get another winger) Aribo could fill in if JWP ever missed minutes. Romeu/Lavia for the main DM role. Looked a good player at times (Liverpool game springs to mind) but sometimes looks like he's playing his first ever match.
-
I'll sleep a lot better once Brandon Williams and Harry Winks have made alternative moves this window.
-
The Feyenoord fan I know thinks he's pretty average and was surprised to hear we were interested, said that he's pretty much just pace at the moment. Was expecting/hoping we'd utilise a loan spot for this position, but Pedersen sounds like it'd be a perm.
-
Yeah I think it's quite surprising reading this, he's a good player and I wouldn't back us to bring in better for £20m. 7g 3a in 23 starts 21/22 9g 5a in 30 starts 20/21 They're not bad numbers and he's still young. Make the bloke spend all Summer practicing his finishing cause he's pretty good all round elsewhere.

Getting rid of our only decent Prem level striker certainly doesn't seem the play.
-
Huge Nixon/Sun tax on this one, but it'd be a good signing at least! I know we wanted him when he was at Celtic. https://www.the-sun.com/sport/football/premier-league/5740633/southampton-celtic-moussa-dembele-lyon/amp/
-
He isn't overrated at all, what do some of you watch every week? He won't be far off a big move, and City wouldn't surprise me given how he's played against them. Unfortunately I've heard contract talks were proving difficult as his team are after a reasonably low release clause to renew.
-
I imagine so, been a few rumours that Perraud's injury is worse than we thought hasn't there.
-
I mean outward for those three wingers, other than the soft Walcott to MLS links.
-
I absolutely agree we need a quick winger coming in, but can't really see it unless we shift 2 of Djenepo, Walcott & Redmond, and we haven't really had any links on that front.
-
£6m rising to £10m I assume, very little outlay.

Joe Aribo - Official: Loaned to Leicester
Saint Matty 76 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Not saying either of you are right, but a contrast opinion from the Rangers forum just now - "£10m for Joe Aribo should see the fraud squad phoned in because that is day light robbery. We got him as raw potential for a steal. Looks like someones getting him as a fully developed top European footballer for a steal." https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/joe-aribo-has-not-turned-down-a-new-rangers-contract.212134/page-6 -
Wheatley is an absolute clown, tried to jump the gun to gain credibility but hopefully ruined his career instead. "Apologies for any confusion caused" by my complete lie.

Joe Aribo - Official: Loaned to Leicester

Apparently Aribo has one of the best first touches in football, so quite a distance away from Djenepo I'd say. -
Get a grip haha.
