Spot on - but sadly Rasmus and Kraft are founders and still part of the ownership of SR. This is what needs to change - otherwise they will continue to influence things they shouldn't and we'll continue to waste Solaks money.
-
Completely agree. A single manager failing is probably the manager's fault. Continued failure of manager after manager is a fundamental problem further up the chain - until the club has the right leadership and structure we will continue to piss money away on substandard players and regardless of the capability of a manager or the tactics played we will continue to underachieve. Fortunately the premier league doesn't really live up to the hype so for me it isn't really the be all and end all. It seems to me the further from the top the less the money spoils the game and the more authentic the experience is.

We're shit but that's no suprise - I can't get upset about it or excited about the rest of the season. The premier league is such a garbage product for the average punter so I can't even get excited about watching anything this year. Roll on the summer clear out, hopefully a new sense of direction and a competitive league.

What's new? I really don't think anything has changed...
-
Not sacking said manager after the Bournemouth game when everyone else (with the exception of Fabrice, gio and lighthouse) could see he was out of his depth ultimately cost us.
-
You would think that there's a glimmer of hope for SAA now that we have a manger who values attacking players who take risks and take people on?
-
Smallbone demonstrates why he should never play for us again...
-
This co-commentator is an absolute idiot. No idea what a foul is or isnt
-
I could see the point in him for a Martin team where the slower pace suited his lack of running. Now, however, I can't see the point - he's just not got the legs to play I'm an aggressive high press anymore.
-
I can only hope we don't take Robbie "the bestest footballer ever" Savage's record away from him and Derby - he's an insufferable prick who seems to have reinvented himself as something other than a dirty talentless shit.
-
The shittest shot you'll ever see
-
Completely agree. AA just doesn't have the brain for premier league football - it's something that will never change and frustrates the hell out of me that he continues to get picked based on being able to run fast.

The benefits (or otherwise) of 4-4-2 / 4-3-3

Have I woken up in 1982? -
Considerable improvements. Disappointed not to get something out of that. Another day TP could have had a hat trick. Much more enjoyable to watch us trying to create goals. Only downside is that Sulemana continues to demonstrate that he's not a footballer, but hopefully Ivan now knows this.
-
Are these the same players? Difficult to believe that only a couple of weeks later we look like a completely different team. Not much scar tissue this time? Clearly Russ' nonsense didn't deeply impact the players....
-
I'm not sure if I remembered this wrong, but didn't Martin bang on about "doing the work" for ages (around about the same time he was going on about scar tissue)? In which case what on earth was he prattling on about? 2 days off after a game is a fucking disgrace - no wonder our weak minded players loved him...
-
I've never seen any evidence that he's aggressive off the ball so I can't believe he's going to be effective pressing - I'd like to be proven wrong, but I'm not holding out any hope that he's going to fit the Juric system
-
Mental decision.
-
Welcome Ivan! Looking forward to some aggressive front footed football. It will be a nice break from needing to trust the process, be brave or any of the rest of the previous charlatan's bobbins.
-
Adam Armstrong is poor at premier league level because his brain just doesn't work fast enough and makes the wrong decisions or a decision too slowly 9/10 times. Sulemana has all the physical attributes to be a good player at premier league level but none of the mental faculties to succeed. Jack Stephens doesn't have the sense to realise that VAR will send you off even if you pull someone's hair and the referee can't see it. Russell Martin doesn't have the nouse to realise that continually doing the same thing that leads to you losing will continue to lead to you losing. Maybe just maybe we need someone a little brighter in charge of our team?
-
I still live in hope that something will change. Russ is clearly under some pressure and is becoming slowly more and more unhinged. It's sad to see this happening to anyone, but it might take him going full blown mad Nate for them to act.
-
A fluke win would give SR another excuse not to get rid of Martin and he would be insufferably smug having beaten the mighty spuds. I never want Saints to lose, but I'm not sure I could be happy about us winning until either Martin changes his football or he gets fired.
-
To be fair it depends on your perspective - opposition fans undoubtedly enjoy the comedy of our defending and the gifted goals. Russ is clearly thinking of the big picture - why please 50,000 fans when he can please millions? Watch as we fill our ground with half and half scarf dinlos and away fans

Genius!!! This has made my day If the Northam sung this with a changed last line "We hate Russell Martin" maybe the message might just get through... I can imagine the last 2 lines being sung over and over
