This one was on Tonda for me. The 1st half was very poor indeed and he was slow to rectify the glaring issues. I've said all I need to say about Stephens every year for a long time. The fact that he's still at the club is unbelievable - he should have gone years ago, but somehow survives. His selection and therefore his mistakes is on Tonda. Please no more Leo as a 10 (Tonda mistake number 2) - he was awful and that was nothing to do with him getting clattered. Leo just doesn't have the vision for a 10 role and ended up holding on to the ball way too long any time he got it. Azaz made an enormous difference when he came on and showed what is needed from a 10. Tonda's mistake number 3. Dobbin isnt ready for a starting position, he doesn't know what players around him are going to do yet and most worryingly plays a lot like Cameron Archer. This was obvious from the Colchester game. Tonda's mistake number 4. The cameo subs at the end were a complete waste of time and sucked our momentum out of that game - BBD is shit that is clear enough for anyone to see - no need to prove it again. A lot for Tonda to sort out in a week, but firstly he needs to stop trying to be a clever dick - his "tactical genius" royally fucked up the 1st half.

Awful half. It seems preseason was a complete waste of time. Matsuki has been really poor; weak as piss, out of the game for long periods, crap touch, crap positioning, ... Scienza has been really poor - far too selfish - just needs to release the ball much earlier and stop needlessly overcomplicating everything. Dobbin has been very poor too. Bragg looks out of his depth. Bree looked pretty iffy. But a special mention for Stephens doing what he does best i.e. needlessly messing up.

Just to take a slightly different view on things (and with a bit of wishful thinking). If I was spors and I was looking at the areas of the squad that need the most improvement CB would be a priority area; Captain Jack can be a liability, wood is ok, quashie has looked like a weak link. Maybe this new guy is seen as a partner for THB? He certainly looks to fit the profile.

Ha ha big Russ is back with his usual drivel. £200m for Leicester already looking like £5.50 and a bag of chips.

He was awful in everything he did. The simplest thing he had to do was press the keeper, which he did with no pace, but more importantly he bottled the last yard every single time so the press was completely pointless. His touch was laughable. He couldn't get near anything that went into the box apart from one header because his positioning was so poor. He backed off every ball so lost almost every 50:50 before he'd got near it. Name one thing he did well because I didn't see it?

The most false I've ever seen from a nine
-
Is BBD playing in the false footballer role?

To many brown swirls and it would be reminiscent of Portsmouth harbour

Brentford got it right with their away kit last season 😃

Probably the worst shirt in recent memory and there have been some stinkers in recent times. If only the club. Had gone for something yellow... What a missed opportunity

I only watched the 2nd half but I don't disagree although I thought Matsuki looked a shadow of the player from last year. Worst performance has to go to BBD who still looks like a pub player whose won a competition to play for saints - so slow, poor decision making and dreadful touch.

It's like going on holiday and leaving your front door open and then being pissed off that you got burgled...

You should hide your cards better. It's taking advantage of your poor poker skills

Looking better than Armstrong upfront is a pretty low bar

Confused - was that aimed at something I didn't say?

Anyone know when the verdict is due? Something I heard suggested it would be today... The FA really are dragging their heels on this, which is shameful from a supposedly professional organisation.

I think you could look at this more generically - there have been numerous times where Stephens has lost his head and he often gets into pointless arguments with officials rather than trying to galvanise others around him. He's also been known to point the finger at others around him when he is the one who has made a mistake. All in all, he sets a poor example to others and might be a great bloke in the dressing room, but doesn't lead where it matters the most.

Robinson really doesn't seem to have benefited from Tonda - I really thought he was going to kick on last year and become a very important player for us. Obviously the injury didn't help, but maybe he doesn't fit into Tonda's system?

Because they are more bent than a banana?

I'm not sure how this logic works. Shea is a highly rated player who clearly has some potential but wasn't a consistent starter for us last year and made a bunch of basic gaffs as well as scoring some good goals. Morgan Rogers was pretty well ever present in villas side last year, probably their best player and an England international. I'm not sure how that makes Shea worth £30m...

The charge is completely fair. What is given as a punishment may or may not be, but until we know what it is it really seems futile speculating. Has anyone seen anything that suggests when the punishment will be decided? What is crap is how long this has taken, but literally no suprise given what a shambles of an organisation they are.

Happy to give him a chance, but before his confidence was shot you could see from watching him warm up that his touch was nothing like a decent footballer - I just don't think he'll ever have what it takes, but I'll be pleased if double D makes me look like a tit.

Very sad news. RIP KK. A genuine legend and also seemed like a thoroughly decent bloke.

Who next from the England manager tombola? Need someone who can organise a shower of shit who think they're something special....
