They are almost gone, but do feel sorry for the clubs and fans in League 2. No doubt they will be giving it large over the summer, but it would be funny if they get relegated again.

Perhaps Fonte will be back in to give Jos a rest. Anyone think we will ever play Forren ? -

1-1 good result for both clubs and as the game went to the last 15 minutes both sets of players probably happy to settle for a draw. Just hope Wigan and Slumerland lose their game in hand. Norwich looking a bit dodgy ! -
Very good point imo, just need another 3 or 4 points to be certain of survival.

How long to go ?

I would e very happy with a point....

Please no

A draw would be handy for both Saints and WHU

Decent fans, fair minded as well.

Turkish seems to have restrained himself to 3 posts a day, LOL !

Brilliant post. The thing is club football in England always trumps international football. This is not the case in some other countries.

That is my point. At the start of the season we had well known weaknesses that cost us dear and should have been sorted in the long summer break ! Most people who regularly visit this board said so at the time. We got through it, but it was a close call and it might be wise to avoid taking such a chance again. As we approach safety, quite a few posters have changed their tune or are being wise after the event.

A voice of reason at last.

well, we left some of our transfers very late and got lucky. We were also lucky that Luke Shaw for example, turned out so good and Boruc.

If there is a change to the badge it will be yet another nail in the coffin of tradition. This ranks alongside abolition of the terraces, woolly home knitted scarfs and bobble hats, snow covered pitches, and of course the Dell.

One step at a time. Let's make sure we don't get relegated first shall we. People looking up the table should be looking instead at how many points we are off 18th. Then, we need to show a much more determined transfer strategy over the summer. We have been very, very lucky in recent times.

Lol...imagine if we changed to blue !

Well, I have predicted a Saints defeat and have been wrong for the last ten matches.

It's fine as it is. Some crests in this country are 'relics' from the middle ages, but that gives them class. Rather have ours than some of the modern versions. While we are on the subject, can we have our red and white stripes back ?
-
I agree it was over 10 years ago and it is history. However, that does not make it any less interesting or relevant in terms of the history of the club.

Yes, and as far the most contentious, Hoddle was wrong in his remarks about disabled people. He rightly lost his England job, but I believe he publicly apologised and moved on. My real point has always been about the episode in 2004 when the failure to appoint Hoddle was made all the more critical over the disastrous appointment of Sturrock, a manager who was clearly out of his depth. I would not have minded had we appointed a better manager, because the appointment of Sturrock set off a chain reaction that ultimately took us down. In fact the appointment of Sturrock makes me wonder whether it was part of an intentional act to punish the vocal minority for their opposition to Hoddle. The tragedy was, that the vast majority of SFC fans could see that Hoddle was the logical choice and would have welcomed him back. Indeed, I guess that with a few wins under his belt, opposition would have soon faded away.
-
Just one thing, if all teams adopted the moral high ground many of today's managers would never have been appointed. Football is a business and one has to gauge how far you bend in order to ensure the clubs future. I suppose the most controversial is that of Sunderland, but can't believe Hoddle was on that scale ? Maybe you disagree.

We cannot afford to lose this one. Think both clubs would settle for a draw. A point edges us closer to safety, although I think we will need 41 to 43 points to be sure.
