  1. Whatever.....you cannot change history can you ?
  2. Really ? Didn't realise he presided over one of our most successful periods in the premiership. Maybe we should have asked him back in 2004.....but er no, we went for that successful League 1 manager that was just recently sacked from the mighty Southend.
  3. Who was the manager at the time ?
  4. I hark back to the days when we had a tight little ground like the Dell, all packed in and intimidating atmosphere. We were a force to be reckoned with, combined with Glenn Hoddle as our genius manager we went on the best winning run in club history.
  5. Time will tell and I am pretty sure that the management at SFC will not be as complacent as yourself and some other posters....thankfully.
  6. Yes I think we will need 43 points, don't see what is wrong with that. The tone of your post suggests that you are sulking because no one takes you seriously any more. Let's face it, you are a busted flush !
  7. Rubbish ! We need another 6 points and it will go all the way.
  8. Disagree. We will scrape another 4 points from those fixtures, which hopefully will be enough. People getting way ahead of themselves. Safety first !
  9. Surely QPR and reading down and Slumberland looking vulnerable.
  10. Really, couldn't happen to a nicer chap !
  11. Hope they don't win.
  12. Would be a good result as puts Wigan and Slumberland deep in, think QPR will go down anyway.
  13. Yes, against QPR !
  14. Still think he got the kit wrong. Red and white stripes next year please.
  15. Hahahaha ! CBFRY, Saintswebs Mr Knowitall becomes Mr Knowheswrong !
  16. Can't see us getting even a fig from this one. Down to earth with a crash. Saints 0- W. Ham 4 for this one !
  17. Are we safe yet ? Not being funny, but let's not gloat just yet !
  18. That by the way, is closure in the sense that only history will really debate the true significance of the matter.
  19. My main argument has always centred on the failure to appoint Hoddle in 2004 as opposed to more recent times. Whatever happens, the appointment of Sturrock over Hoddle, and the role of the vocal minority, was a disaster for SFC,which we are thankfully just recovering from.
  20. Good one. Hoddle was a superb manager in his day and if we had brought him in 2004 would most likely have continued our premier status. Pochettino better for Saints now as Hoddle has been out of management at the top level for so long.
  21. Like in the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, Goodbye (Nigel) and thanks for all the fish.
  22. NA played a vital role in the club renaissance, we are all grateful now it is time to move on.
  23. Very droll.
  24. Ok think they will stay up easily !
