Agreed i think Butterfield was excellent. the way we cowed the posh was excellent. Could see the determination to win last night. much better than 17th.

The wotsit song and Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve chant were annoying but to say it ruined a brilliant night is stupid !

Top post. I honestly think that the prime target was consolidation and 17th would have been acceptable. So whatever happens, the season has been a great success and next year will be even better, even if we are in the same division.

Brilliant post. Villa are sort of marooned. Not big enough to ever challenge the top six and big enough to stay in the league. As far Everton is concerned, is it right that they and Arsenal are the only ones never to have been relegated from the top division ?

The OP needs to have head examined. Even if we lost our next three games and bombed in the play offs, it has still been a successful season !

As I have said many times before, this season was about consolidation and we were set up for this. At the very worst we will be in the play offs. This is quite an achievement in its own right and is far more than could be expected after our modest preparation over the summer in the transfer market.

It's a case of a bridge too far. The interesting question is whether we are set up for the play offs ? Will Lee and Connelly be available ?
