Ultimately, whoever came in would have the same GK issue to contend with and I wouldn't say Adkins is obsessed with Jrod at all. He's our 2nd choice CF as he would be for anyone who took over the reins. Fair to criticise but enough to say that Adkins should go? Not in my book.

Performance based clauses are the norm Windows, not sure how you can speculate that we deviated from our hardball approach on the basis we were so desperate for him.

Pretty sure that the 6-7M touted will include performance based clauses so if he doesn't do the business for us then it wouldn't be 6-7M wasted.

The other consideration here is that our record signing until Rodriguez was only 4M, which is ridiculous for a club like us in 2012. Football has moved on massively over the years and our circumstances meant that most of our signings were either close to breaking or broke our previous records. Had our record signing been 2M and we bought a striker for 3M, we wouldn't expect them to start each week just on this basis.

Hardly anyone walks away with the perfect transfer window under their belt, certainly not us. Any issue I have is not with individual players but with the lopsided approach to strengthening in attack whilst taking too many risks with our defensive positions. Ultimately he have a squad able to compete at this level which is all we would have hoped for at the start of the season.

Well my post on here is pretty much the same as all the others you reference. It's only your forum minder Saint Charlie who has made it a bigger issue than it needs to be. I don't think he's **** at all and would never resort to petty name calling.
