I completely agree with this. Also, people should think twice before referencing AIDS. My cat died of aids 10 years ago and I reserve the right to read a mongboard without seeing anything which I may find offensive. It's not a good or clever culture to develop guys.

Dumb things people done to get banned or whatever!
Dig Dig replied to Bearsy's topic in The Muppet Show
Just been on the main board, a "no more mongs" campaign is underway. Not sure what I feel about this. I've changed the meaning of mong to mean people who write dumb stuff on a football forum like Dibden Purlieu Saint -
Yea you're right mate, i'll leave it out. The problem is that I've had a few and he keeps looking at me.
-
Yep, just come along to give you a cyber wedgy and then push you into the urinal. the stain has given you a time and place. He'll be there to discuss the merits of signing Stuart Downing.....will you?
-
DPS has bottled it big time, Helen Flanagan style.
-
Can't see this happening for a number of reasons, most notably that we don't seem to like signing more direct players in preference of sticking with our passing game.
-
And Cortese and Sibley and all the staff working ever so hard behind the scenes!
-
You can have a committee of one.
-
Funded and sanctioned by Cortese and the committee, massive well done to them!!!!!
-
Pardew was just one cog in the committee as Adkins is now. As I said, big congrats to the committee!!!
-
Exactly right, big hats off to Cortese and the transfer committee for steering us to the premier league with quality signings!
-
Remember when Hypo was banned last time around and he logged on via an "ex-girfriends" account prentending to be "her" and then ended banned for longer? Big LOL's.
-
I will think he's done brilliantly if we finish 17th tbh. Despite the money spent, all the bookies had us as favourites to go down at the start of the season.
-
6-7 points from that lot should keep us ticking over. We won't know how we'll do though until Alpine comes on and tells us because the opposite if what he says usually happens.
-
Is this sarcastic?
-
I agree, posters who are using the money spent as a stick to beat Adkins with need to take a look at themselves. Our squad value is still low lower half for the premier league and after back to back promotions we needed that 30M to give outselves a chance of being competative. We were never going to build the perfect squad with that money but have done well considering how many players we have from League 1 who are simply not good enough...butterfield, dickson, chaplow, forte, seabourn, hammond etc.

Its the frequency in which you would watch football over some of the more one off experiences you mention which is important IMO. About 20 quid is about right though
-
You've already told us how much a good price for an Iphone is, why not for a football game which is what the OP asks? Football in this country is overpriced for an hour and a half worths of entertainment. Demand sets the price as it is now but doesn't always reflect value for money

Club Policy on the Communication of Player Injuries
Dig Dig replied to HornseySaintsFan's topic in The Saints
I don't think this is a discussion about the merits of private or PLC ownership. This could be a decision by the team management and nothing to do with the boardroom. -
Club Policy on the Communication of Player Injuries

The VMAN has already told us the injury is not season ending but is a bad one. The club know the extent of the injury but have gone into their usual silence mode. As said I can understand the club keeping it under wraps for a knock but Sunderland will know he's not playing, as will most teams will play over the xmas/new year period. The club achieve nothing but pointless speculation and rumour through lack of facts. -
Cortese was in charge for that game

Club Policy on the Communication of Player Injuries
Dig Dig replied to HornseySaintsFan's topic in The Saints
When a crucial player like lallana is injured for a long period of time, it's stupid to think it's clever to keep it in the dark on he pretence that the club is hiding it from the opposition. It's not as if it's a knock and he's touch and for a game or two. It's obvious that he's out for a period of time, talk of him being secretly fine is nonsense. The club gain nothing by keeping the fans in the dark on this one. -
He won't be 17 forever dumb dumb
-
He acts like a big time charlie IMO. Les Reed has talked him up as potentially being as good as Ronaldo, we all know he's got the physical attributes at least. Until Jonno starts applying himself in the right manner I doubt we'll ever see the pace, strength and ball control of Jonno again.

I doubt either will be considered as a replacement for AL. It will either be the team which played 2nd half against Reading or Guly will come in
