  1. That's not in the list, not recommended.
  2. Bursting blood vessels? I'm perfectly calm thanks.
  3. This could be a significant summer of change for the Saints with a new boardroom structure, soon to be new manager and an as of yet, undetermined player turnover. It seems that there are some posters fearing the worst and are questioning the direction of the club in the absence of any insights into what the board are actually doing and what their short/medium/long term plans are. Other posters don't seem that fussed and seem to have a few techniques and tips for those "hysterically" discussing the abundance of news articles and snippets from Journo's. Below is a handy list of things to do to help you cope: 1) dismiss news stories as speculation and claim that you'll only be listening to official news as it happens 2) claim that nothing has happened and reassure yourselves that the club are fully in command and in control of the situation 3) keep reading Reed's statement and Ralph's subsequent statements for comfort 4) gradually diminish the achievements of either Pochettino or any outgoing players. They really weren’t all that, in fact, we might actually be better without Lallana and Shaw 5) emphasis that we are only saints and can do nothing if a manager or player wants to move to a bigger club.....we owe it to them 6) highlight that we have always progressed under KL even though she has had very little to do with Saints up until now 7) blame Cortese for leaving us in such a precarious financial position, despite a year of record income and the fact our now CEO was oversseing the financials during Cortese’s reign. when all else fails, claim you don't care and will support Saints regardless of whether we are in the prem or the conference 9) any criticism of the new board should be considered hysterical and/or a sign that the poster is either i.) a Pompey fan, ii.) depressed, or iii.) looks for any chance to “bash the Board” even if it is valid. Follow these simple steps and you will have a fantastic Saints related summer
  4. They should at least confirm that they have given Poch permission to speak with Tottenham and give an insight into what their plans are now. Clearly the situation with Pochettino is no longer "comfortable" so what exactly are they doing? I'm less fussed about what they tell the fans and more worried about the fact that the manager is walking and players want to leave or are saying that they don't know what to expect. The only excuse for that is that they are reacting to things as they happen rather than having a proper strategy in place themselves.
  5. Things tend not to progress this far without there being almost near certainty that he will be the next spurs manager.
  6. The only thing which is commical is that fact that this line is trotted out when clearly the club seem to lack any type of strategy or direction. Those who have better contacts closer to the club can attest to that. Keep your head firmly in the sand all you like but you won't be able to ignore what's happening for much longer.
  7. What do you reckon could/should have been different? Just all seems a bit of a mess.
  8. Don't be hysterical mate, we are told often that the board will be doing everything in the best interests of Saints, what more could they have done? Didn't you (or Clyne) see Reeds statement? And weren't you (or Clyne) listening when Poch said he has another year on his contract anyway?
  9. Didn't Ralph say that a priority was to appoint a "sporting director"? I wondered at the time as I thought that was Les Reeds role and now it appears that Reed is in that role anyway. All a little confusing. If the ownership and steering from the top is poor, no wonder Poch and players want to leave.
  10. He's talking them because he knows what's on offer with us which presumebly isn't too exciting.
  11. Don't worry or be upset. Everyone at the club have said that they are comfortable with the situation so must have been comfortable with Poch walking out. I'm sure there are awesome plans in place for our sustainable mid-table cup team dream.
  12. If Poch is here, no way will Mayuka get another chance. Malkay Makay might have a little punt on him though .
  13. Come on, you know what I mean. If Poch felt confident he was sticking around, the players would have a good indication of that. They reat don't seem to though. Yes it's likely that we are always going to get offers for players and perhaps lose one or two . What's important is where the line is drawn. We have a few players who could play for bigger clubs, our policy shouldn't be to let them leave because we supposedly owe them the opportunity.
  14. A sense that what's happening within the club is reflective of what's being said. Alright making those kind of statements but they are undermined if the manager and players openly say that they are hoping X, Y and Z are happening but that no one is communicsting with them. What can the board be doing if they are not even internally letting everyone know that the plan is to progress and how do they benefit from it?
  15. Poch confirming he was staying until the end of the season settled things down a lot since then but we are still in the same position with him, in that he's never committed to the club beyond the season. Players are more likely to angle for a move over the summer rather than in Jan and not as many clubs are in the market. I would be delighted to be completely wrong about the compentency of the new board and we start next season with an excellent squad and manager.
  16. What was has Gareth been doing as CEO? Why have we had to wait for Ralph who basically said he only properly started a couple of weeks ago? Can't expect driven professionals like Poch and players waiting around whilst Ralf is strolling around sight seeing in Winchester. Even if change isn't as extreme as feared this summer, the whole approach has looked rather meek from the outside.
  17. Reality is that the new board have had 6 months to make plans with Poch and this was always going to be a big summer for us. This should have been a top priority since day 1 really but all the indications are is that the club have done very little to create any type of clarity for the manager and in turn the players.
  18. Disagree, we need him more for continuity alone and just player retention. The players love playing for him even though he makes them work their ******** off and the way we play is down to Pochettino's single minded approach and attention to detail. He's a workaholic which we reap huge benefits from. Replacing him would be a tough ask, especially for a crew who have no experience in appointing a manager a side from Reed.
  19. If we still don't know who the manager is going to be next season, I wonder how the overall planning for the summer is going? Ralf was supposed to start work in ernest from the Monday after the Utd game. I bet our plans are a right mess.
  20. That shows how good the lad is.
  21. With the way that this is all dragging out, no party is looking particularly clever.
  22. View From the Top does care really. He's like one of those fierce homophobes who secretly love a bit of c ock
  23. Cork said the other day that the club haven't spoken to him about a contract.
  24. Yea real hysterical. Fancy saints fans caring about potentially losing our best players and manager. Whatever next eh.
