With the prem money these days, neither figure is unusual at all. Times have moved on, even since 2005.
-
Yep, wise to start preparing for the Championship I feel.

Some of the logistics are wrong but prob not far off

The players will want to see that the club are growing and able to match their ambition as they grow as players. We've been in a unique position to do that whilst attracting a calibre of players which will keep the team challenged and comforted that the club wants to push forward. Without showing intent this window and next, we will lose a core of our best players over the summer. The impact of Cortese going will either be minimal if you have never rated him or significant if you did.
-
Who will negotiate for players? Is Gareth up to it?
-
Lovren? There are no hard and fast rules, you win some, you lose some. Who is your favourite current saints player mate?
-
Was that comment lifted from the Boruc water bottle thread? Sounds very familiar.
-
Agreed, wouldn't be valued at anything less than 14M IMO.

Have never said anything about the Champions League or a shiny new stadium but I have enjoyed a long period of stability, two promotions, an excellent evolving squad who are now more than a match for anyone in the league with some excellent young players coming through and a chance of seeing at least one of our own play for England in the WC. We also have an excellent young manager. Nothing dumb in pointing towards the absence of a person who over saw it all and having reservations about the people running the show and their ability to keep it all together.

Those rejoicing about how good all the changes have been over the last week have a touch of gone Wilde about them. One fluffy statement, a tweet about injuries, a hockey coach and an agent to lower league Austrian footballers on the board and now an interim CEO who on paper is suspect and we have created a new breed of happy clappers who can't seem to get enough of it all.
-
Not the credentials of a CEO of Premier League Club, a lot of people on here will have a better looking CV.
-
No, this is a brilliant and shrewed move by Kit Kat, it's only interim and you don't even need anyone that good to come in and replace the rat faced weasel. Anyone who doesn't share this view is a div.
-
A lot of us might have!
-
Not surprised really, instructed to do so to save embarrassment.
-
Should we lower our standards even on an interim basis? Looks like the owners couldn't even be bothered to put much effort into the recruitment of a qualified CEO and just gave it to the first person they saw looking at a spreadsheet.
-
Educated to under-grad level and held a lower/middle management position at Deloitte. Uninspiring to say the least.
-
Looks massively under-qualified.

I'll stretch my imagine beyond your wildest dreams Wes.... lets not stop at hockey coaches, let's bring in a tennis coach, a swimming coach, a show jumping coach and a bowling coach and have them all join the board. Think of all the motivational advantages we would have then!! It's only football in the most high profile league in the World after all.
-
He said on twitter that he had been speaking with Sibley
-
Nothing wrong with the motivation of our players. MP and staff are doing a brilliant job. Wht do we need a hockey coach to help with that?
-
Fair enough article IMO. Word on the CEO front has gone quiet as well.....

Still don't know when they are back : )

The fall out with Addidas was because NC had designed a bespoke striped shirt which was supposed to be free for all season ticket holders but Addidas messed up the order and sent 1000's of the template ones instead.

Hypo has clinically diagnosed Cortese as being a sociopath, I'm sure you don't aquire those traits whenever it pleases you. I'm sure Marcus knew exactly what he would get from NC and I doubt he was the grinning, cuddly grandad that his persona from a far indictated. Wasn't it Marcus who wanted Pardew gone a while before he actually did?
