Can't believe how many people have been disrespectful to the club and our league campaign on here over the last week.

More magic than finishing 9th-20th but not as much magic as finishing 7th-1st

It seems that unless you're one of the big boys, cup wins have a toxic effect overall. Blessing in disguise perhaps?

Does the league not matter then? Why do people buy season tickets to watch league games? Why do we bother entering it? The way people are going on, the league is boring and irrelevant and cups are everything.

Cup run didn't have a positive effect on Birmingham, Wigan, Millwall, Portsmouth etc in recent years.

Shaw feeling disappointed is about right, reflects what most fans would feel. I doubt he would be squinnying about MP leaving, 8th placed bonuses and how the club doesn't care about it's devout followers. It's football, you don't always get the result you want and you don't always get the performance from the players. We should know that better than most.

This season will be remembered as part of a chunk of our history which started in league 1 on -10, the rebuilding of a squad which saw the addition of what are now some true saints legends and more World Class players generated from the academy with an evolution of managers who have all contributed towards us having a distinct and celebrated style of play. In addition to some big wins this season, we are on course to at least equal our highest ever finish in the Premier League with a very good chance of seeing Southampton players represent England in a World Cup for the first time in many fans living memory. We may not have a cup to top it all off but I can't see how anyone could say that this season is boring or irrelevant. I'll always remember this period fondly as it won't last forever.

The fans should vote on team selection and substitutions made during games. We need our voices heard!

This about 5 mins after the club decided to stock his books which was all he cared about a couple of weeks ago. The guy seems to look for division everywhere he goes.

When have we had a reputation for being a good cup team? Why should everyones aspirations come down to a maximum of 6 games a season? It's fine to be annoyed at yesterdays performance, it was ****e but MP out and wanting the club back stuff is laughable.

Agree, we have a great chance of finishing above Utd this season, something which would be remembered for generations to come!

Dejan is a quality player and our best CB but I'm always of the belief that if a player has come in and done well, they should keep their spot until there is a reason to drop them.

He was available last window. Not sure if anyone of equal quality was available via their club this window? Not sure what difference a new signing would make now to us.
