Sorry, it's past my bedtime, I was up early to drive up to a tournament in Warwickshire to shoot 4 over, so I'm in a bad mood today :-)
-
Aren't you a funny b4st4rd! If I was BSing, I would have made up a lot better story than being a golfer playing on satellite tours where there is hardly enough money to survive. Idiot.
-
I haven't played challenge tour, I've played Europro Tour (which is televised here on sky); the other tours I've played on here and in the US aren't televised. I missed out on qualifying for the Nissan Open by a shot a few years ago, so nearly got a nice start on a PGA Tour event. I try to get out to qualify for the Nissan and the Buick Invitational every year, as well as one or two Nationwide Tour events.

Sammy Clingan followed me around in my tournament today....just a useless piece of information I thought I'd get off my chest. He thought it was funny when I told him I thought his team mate, Leon Best, wasn't very good!

As the OP, I thank you! ;-)

Agreed....I thought he looked pretty solid

Exactly, if I wanted to sell mars bars my whole life I'd open a corner shop! I did do some work in a pro shop when I was younger, and I'd get people calling me up asking what the weather would be like in 2 weeks time...crazy. I'm doing an open uni psychology degree at the minute, and like you said the PGA course is kinda similar - I'm not sure I'd want to do both. I think I'd rather go into sports psychology than be a pga pro anyway.

I'd love to find a decent field to do my own thing, please let me know if you know a good one that I won't hit people on and also that the farmer won't come after me in his tractor and I'll be there! When I decided to turn pro I went straight into playing...I didn't go the pga route, so I can't play on the local pga circuits, which is kind of a shame. I think one day I might do my pga if I decide I can't make it to a decent level playing.

I can't help where I play!! There aren't any tournaments in Hampshire for me to play in!! If you'd like to come and watch me play a couple in Oxfordshire over the next couple of weeks you're more than welcome!! Hedge End is a driving range - a place to go and practise. The golf balls there are a bit soft and don't fly well, so they don't give very good feedback on how you're hitting your shots. The place I practise at daily has good balls, the balls fly like a proper golf ball that I'd use in a tournament, so I practise there. You're looking into this far too deeply!

I would have taken a picture and posted for you all to laugh at, but I have an iPhone and the camera is rubbish - it would have been blurry unless I really took my time, which would have been a dead give-away!
-
I wish I could remember specifics. But I really can't....I do remember very clearly, though, thinking "what on earth are you talking about....you sound ridiculous"!

Very little. My home track is in Surrey, between Farnham and Guildford...I practise there and also near Ascot. Have barely played any golf in Hampshire to be honest, I've always been a Saints fan (because of my dad) but I only moved down here 5 years ago. On the tours I play in the UK, very few events are in Hampshire - I think there was 1, and I missed that one. I'm seeing a girl who lives near Southampton now, and I'm spending a lot of time down there, so I'm toying with the idea of finding somewhere to practise down there. I've hit balls at Hedge End quite a few times, but the balls aren't that great.

Don't try to detract from the fact you sounded, at the football and on that ridiculous post you made, like a complete and utter tool. For those people who haven't seen this man before, I can inform you that he definitely has little man's syndrome.

No, I play mini TOUR golf....basically there are smaller tours dotted all over the world that allow pros to play for money, that aren't televised and the money isn't in 7 figures like what you see on tv. Mini tours are also know as satellite tours. It's professional golf, just like what you see on tv, but on a smaller scale (in terms of sponsorship, tv coverage and prize money). Hence why it's sometimes called "mini" tour.
-
??? Mini tour golf had nothing to do with children! Basically if the European tour is the premiership, I play in the championship/league 1. And I have every right to criticise him cuz he's an idiot
-
Mini TOUR golf, not mini golf!! A mini tour is a professional tour that doesn't have the major sponsors and prize funds of the main tours you see on tv. It's not mini golf!

Over a million play in the UK and if I remember rightly, 5 million in the US. HTH

If you shift your weight too early, what happens is your arms lag behind and if you hold onto it, there's your right shot. If you're too left sided at setup, you're likely to spin and back up out of it, which again can produce a right shot if you're not releasing the head (it would go left if you did release it). Because of your weak grip, you won't be over releasing the club, so it could be either of the things I suggested. It could be other things too, but they would be the first things I'd look at.
-
His son looked about 18-21 anyway, so I don't know what the **** he's on about. I think his posts have proved he's not completely sane to be fair. Try getting you weight feeling into your right foot at setup, that should help you release the head and stop you blocking it. Sounds like you could be too left sided, either at setup or at impact. A weak grip is fine ad long as you're not losing power. So weight in your right foot and stay in behind it as you hit it. HTH

lol tell me this is a joke?!

Yeah it was definitely you, cuz you sound as daft on here as you did at the football! I am a pro, but I'm not claiming to be famous, I play mini-tour golf, but having worked with pretty much every coach with any pedigree in this country, barring Dennis (the destroyer) Pugh, I can confirm I haven't seen or heard of you before, so you must be booked up with ladies and 28 handicappers. As someone else said, it was you who was drawing attention to yourself and your son, and when I turned round to see who was shouting complete nonsense, I couldn't help but notice your son looked embarrased to be associated with ya. Probably cuz I was one of about 20 people unfortunate enough to sit near you who were looking round, wandering "what on earth are you talking about?!".
-
You sounded stupid. Sorry. And I play golf professionally and I don't recognise you, apart from seeing you at SMS a few times, so you can't be that good at getting the best out of people! Otherwise you'd be teaching some good players, and I'd have heard of you. But golfing aside, you shouting "instructions" from row FF is hardly going to help one jot, and my girlfriend and I both noticed on different occasions that you sounded ridiculous. And on the other times I've seen you I thought the same! I think your son (?) would feel less embarrassed if you kept quiet, judging by the look on his face.
