  1. Well you might be happy for a change, which I'm sure people around you, i.e. your family, would appreciate.
  2. That's not it at all...it's just a fact of life that successful people think positively and don't "allow for pleasant surprises". I suppose you think all happy and successful people are "lucky" then?!
  3. Which is no way to live your life.
  4. That's a typical response from a negative person. Negative people think they're being realistic, and positive people are being happy clappy. The truth is, negative people aren't being realistic, they're being negative. Because it's the easy way out....to avoid disappointment if high expectations aren't met. Very sad.
  5. Why not? What does thinking negatively achieve?!
  6. So if you're not a negative, miserable ****er, who doesn't start threads just to find something negative to pick at the team for, you're happy clappy? You're a bloody lunatic.
  7. It's fuel for negative and impatient people to fret over. HTH
  8. Look at it this way, an article saying we haven't signed anyone would take, what, 5 minutes? An article saying we've signed 1 or more players, having to get all the info together on previous clubs, goals, playing records etc, as well as interviews and photos, could quite easily take hours. P for patience.
  9. No, it means he read the website and didn't find anything. Patience.
  10. Oh well then, it's nailed on, we all need to hang ourselves.....I'm off to get some rope.
  11. Well that's one way to look at it, if you're being negative. Or you could think positively....
  12. Good boy, that's the spirit.
  13. Well it IS the same regarding the last 5 years too!!
  14. They're probably very busy!! And they probably want the suspense so we're all more excited when the news finally breaks.... Even if it turns out that we haven't signed anyone, what's the point in getting wound up about it?! There's nothing that any of us can do, and no amount of *****ing and complaining will make the situation any different from what it is. There are much worse things in the world to worry about....why can't people just enjoy supporting the team and have fun going to games etc., without finding something to whinge about all the time?!
  15. Just calm down, relax, have a beer (or whatever your tipple is) and just wait. Like I said earlier, if there's nothing by the morning, feel free to slit your wrists. However, there could well be 1, 2, 3 or more signings, and it's taking time to do all the reports and photos etc. It doesn't matter how wound up you get, they will report what has happened or hasn't happened whenever they decide, and there's nothing any of us can do about it. So why stress. RELAX.
  16. There's also nothing in writing saying we haven't signed anyone either!! Glass-half-empty-man.
  17. Calm the *UCK down!!! You don't get this aggressive if your missus comes home 10 minutes late do you?!
  18. Oh well, our football team doesn't (as yet) appear to have a strong enough team....lets all go out and buy some rope and find a big ****ing tree. Geez, get a grip people, FFS. Spend some time with your families!
  19. FFS everybody calm the **** down....we will have brought someone in. Have patience and stop the "woe is me" nonsense. Just give it til tonight before you all hang yourselves. If the signings were made last minute, they might still be writing the reports and doing photos and whatnot, so just relax. If there is nothing on the OS by tomorrow, by all means slit your wrists, but until then, stop being so negative.
  20. It's Johnstone's Paint Trophy, not Johnsons....HTH
  21. Gradel not even on the bench for Leicester tonight....about to sign for us??
  22. Agree with everything you say except Gerrard is overrated. The guy is a quality, quality footballer. Talented and hard working, and plays with passion. Yes, he's a complete scouse tool, but a world class footballer.
  23. Mental fitness has a direct correllation with physical fitness though. If you're fit, your main stays sharper for longer.
  24. It's not though, it's always the same. We drop deeper and deeper cuz when the other team puts us under pressure, we're too tired to pass the ball out and keep moving. So we hoof it, give it back to the other team, then all get behind the ball and sit deep and invite them onto us. Just cuz this time it was a penalty, or last time it wad the ref or a bad pass or whatever, the route cause is always the same.
  25. Clearly the reason we were holding on desperately and the ball was in our box to allow the penalty to happen, was down to fitness. End of. We should have had the ball down the other end, but the players were too knackered to do anything but hoof it back and give Stockport the ball
