Agree with all of that. The responsibility does lie with the players, not Pardew, as others have said. We do need to get behind them though. They'll be much more inclined to get grafting if they know we're all spurring them on.

I do accept other opinions to my own. I don't accept whinging and whining after 6 ****ing league games....it's pathetic. There are FAR worse things going on in the world. And like it's been said 100 times, we're lucky to have a club at all. Get some perspective!

At least he knows he'll get booed if he has a bad game. That'll be inspiring for him.

Brilliant post. What I've been trying to say for a while, but, admittedly, much more eloquently put.

Because the negativity (sorry, realism) on this forum is getting ridiculous.

I understand that after 6 league games with a bunch of new players and a new coaching setup that booing is completely ridiculous.

I think if we're adrift by Xmas, then there is time for concern. Right now, we just need to show our support. There is nothing to say that, with awesome support behind the team, that we can't go on a major winning streak from now until Xmas. There is nothing stopping us, apart from bad attitudes.

And every season it takes 5 minutes for fans to start booing at games and coming on here and criticising, throwing the blame at people, etc etc. I do honestly think that a change of attitude from the fans will help a lot. Yes, I know, I KNOW, we haven't had a lot to cheer and we've gone through a lot of bad times recently. The whole club has changed, but our opinions of the club haven't changed accordingly.

There we go again. I don't criticise or boo because I have enough between my ears to know that complaining and booing will achieve absolutely nothing. I cannot control anything to do with SFC, except showing up and giving them my support. That's the only thing I can control. And that's the same for every one of us. It doesn't matter how much we boo, or complain, on whinge, it will not improve the team's performance. Only hinder it.

The fans haven't changed. That's not a dig at you by the way. Just throwing something out there.

No no, it's the negative people who think they have the monopoly on being a realist - that's how they justify they're whinging and whining - "we're being realistic". No, you're whinging and whining.

I'm pretty sure they know they're not getting good enough results....they don't need people to boo for them to know that. Booing them will do NOTHING. Apart from have a negative influence.

So if someone asks for a bit of patience and positivity, they're patronising, or happy clappy or deluded. If people act negative and suicidal, they're being realists. Nice.

Completely agree. All the team need is a bit of confidence from somewhere. It's hard when you're always wondering where the next boos are coming from though I suppose. Like you said, 1 win and we could be off.
