  1. Slag off, doubt their ability, doubt Pardew is up for the job....all the same thing really
  2. It's also quite possible to be a footballer or a manager and be affected by fans' negative opinions of them. Why do people like YOU think you can slag them off, as though you could do a better job, and think you will achieve anything?!
  3. Football is also about supporting your team. If you can't handle the ups and downs then maybe you shouldn't support a team.
  4. You're paying to 'support' the team. If you can't handle the ups and downs of supporting a football team, you could always spend your money elsewhere?
  5. I never said we should applaud bad performances. But booing them achieves nothing. People need to understand that sport is unpredictable - even the best teams and the best prepared teams go on a bad streak. And this is a new team with new players, new management, the job lot. People need to be patient and not be so easy to get on their backs. Even though you think you can, you can't do a better job than any of them, management or players, so who are you to tell them they aren't doing well enough?! And it's a matter of fact that the more you get on their backs, the longer it will take for them to turn it around, because they'll feel like they're fighting a losing battle. They'll have no confidence, and will play with fear because they know what the reaction will be if they don't win. We're not a premiership team anymore. The quality is not going to be what it was. That needs to be accepted.
  6. Nah I think it's down to Richard Who? Fox. If only anyone had heard of him, pardew might have been able to call him to persuade him to bring his dingy down and park it in front of the goal. Then you could have sucked him off in the centre circle to put the other team off.
  7. I pay to go every week too and I'm frustrated also but there are better ways to show your frustration. How about turning our frustration around into louder singing and bigger attendances?! If we show fight, the players will show fight, and we'll break through this bad run of form....
  8. It's even better not to boo at all. What do you think that achieved?! I'll tell you what it likely achieved....more nervousness and lack of confidence instilled within the players - just what we need isn't it. Brilliant.
  9. I would suggest some of the players have been poor. Pardew doesn't control them all with remote control. There's only so much he, or any manager, can do. Who are we to say whether he's been doing the right things or not? He might well be doing a brilliant job behind the scenes and the players just aren't doing it on matchday.
  10. Do you get points for being impatient NO! Do you get points for having no faith NO! Do you get points if you don't believe NO!
  11. yeah the booing at the end was fantastic support!!
  12. Be careful, the "realists" will come out and call you happy clappy and deluded with posts like that! BTW, you're absolutely correct.
  13. I agree, I think this whole thread, and board to be frank, is getting ridiculous. The one thing about sport is that there are only so many things you can control. You can play as good as you've ever played and still get beaten. That's just how it is. And when you're a manager and you can't even participate in the game, and are relying on others to do the job for you, there's even less you can control. It's the same for Pardew, it'd be the same for the next manager, and the next, and the next. In sport, you're only inches from success or failure. So we're on a bad run. Eventually, it WILL turn round, as long as we give it the chance to. At the minute, we're all contributing to our demise by finding someone to blame, by booing the team, by criticising Pardew. Why don't be contribute to us turning it around by supporting the team more and more, the longer we go without a win? Why can't we all go down to SMS, and let the team know we actually want them to win?! Rather than make them feel that we're looking for the first opportunity to find something to have a dig at them about?!
  14. So you want him sacked then?!
  15. I'm pretty sure Schneiderlin waits outside the box in case the ball comes to him and he can have a shot? Or is he there to prevent a quick counter attack? If he's only there for shooting purposes, surely Lallana can play that role and Schneiderlin can take the corners? He HAS to be a better corner taker, surely?
  16. Do we have to BLAME anybody?!
  17. Will probably be gone by then - I'm going to sell it all on ebay I think. I've always got things coming and going though - no doubt I'll have something knocking around by the time you're playing again.
  18. I don't have any sets of irons....just some woods and putters really.
  19. Never been a fan of pings, so I don't have any ping equipment at all, sorry.
  20. Just been sat next to Gobern, Schneiderlin and Melis is Banana Wharf in Ocean Village and I can confirm they ate and drank healthily and went home early. So at least our subs will be on the ball if required tomorrow ;-) 3-1 Saints
  21. Ermm....be more vocal?!
  22. At home it seems the crowd goes very quiet from 70-75 minutes onwards, as though they're anticipating a tough finish to the game. Sure, it's because we've all seen what we have a tendency to do late on in games, but if the crowd could somehow keep the noise level up late into the game, it might have some kind of impact. If 15-20 thousand people are sensing something bad is going to happen, it's bound to impact the 11 players that are surrounded by them.
  23. Yep but I think that's the normal retail head (cuz it has a 8 degree loft - the tour range is 8.5 and 9.5) - the tour one is a slightly smaller head, it's more pleasing to the eye, and like I said, it has a proper hosel (which is new for Callaway) which means the can position the shaft further forward towards the face, so it sits more open.
  24. Well the driver retails at £250 - £299, it's in near perfect nick.....£175?
