  1. As I'm perfectly entitled to dismess your comments as meaningless, irritating, negative, etc etc etc
  2. No I don't think so....Stoke did it last week, and I think I remember when WGS was manager, we went up to Rotherham in the cup and they did it there against us.
  3. Well you might have come up with something..... Didn't Stoke recently narrow their pitch against Man U? I wonder if we narrowed our pitch down, it might suit our narrow play and restrict other teams bombing down the wings all the time?
  4. We haven't been relegated from league one. Anyway, there's a difference between being disappointed and gutted, to getting angry and miserable and wanting to blame someone or find excuses to moan, or nit pick.
  5. Players are asked questions after a match in this thing called an 'interview'. Certain questions can only warrant certain answers. The Hammond article on the OS is a collation of the answers that he made to the questions he was asked. I don't see how you can have a dig at him or the OS. Unless you're just trying to find an excuse to moan.
  6. It's not that I disagree with him that has caused my reaction. It's just blatant digging at anything people can find to have a dig at, when it's really not necessary.
  7. My head is spinning trying to understand that
  8. It's a player's opinion after the match. For goodness sake. I don't understand....if people (like you) dislike everything that ever happens at SFC, can't handle the ups and downs and don't rate the team/manager, then why don't you sod off and support another team? Instead of getting worked up all the time and complaining?!
  9. It's probably not even PR - players get interviewed at the end of the game, and Hammond was no doubt the player sent out, and the OS has a right to post what he said.
  10. For goodness sake. I'm not interested in reading pathetic digs at our players either, but people like you like to make idiotic posts like this that I'm very bored of.
  11. Mental fatigue comes as a result of physical fatigue. I think it's just because they're young and probably aren't in their prime yet (fitness wise). I'm not sure exactly, but don't you not reach your fitness peaks until your early to mid twenties?
  12. You're absolutely correct (or your mum is). As sportsmen, the players will benefit more if they take responsibility. By doing so, it gives them more of an opportunity to learn. I'm sure that's what they're doing anyway.
  13. He's director of football. HTH
  14. Their play was threatening, but apart from the goals, they didn't really threaten Kelvin that much - that's what I was trying to say. They didn't create anything clear cut apart from the goals.
  15. To be fair, none of the goals last night came from errors from him....they all came from the other side of the pitch. I thought he did ok last night. He's been ropey before, but last night he really did ok.
  16. They're all equally as bad in this division. Pardew may be the common denominator, but he isn't the reason we lost last night.
  17. Well no matter where you choose to put the blame, we played well last night (your original post after the game made out you disagree - which is wrong, I think), and I'd be happy if we played like that the rest of the season.
  18. Their first goal came from a through ball, it wasn't a cross or anything to do with their or our wing play. How many saves did Kelvin have to make as a result of shots coming from crosses. Hardly any.
  19. The second goal they scored was poor defending on the wing, but apart from that, they didn't really threaten. So I disagree. Yes, Harding was exposed, but it's not like BR were crossing the ball in every 2 minutes and threatening our goal with headers.
  20. How many times.....there doesn't always have to be an excuse or an explanation. At what point did I make an excuse about why we lost last night?! I didn't. I said they had a lash at it from 25 yards on virtually the last kick of the game, and it went in. 9 times out of 10 it would have flown high and wide and the wrist slitters MIGHT have been a bit more philosophical about things. One kick of the ball, and all of a sudden, people like you are looking to plant the blame on someone. Why are you always looking for an explanation? And someone to blame? Why? Can't you just accept we were undone by a wonder goal and move on?
  21. Well you like to blame Pardew after every game!!
  22. not relegation zone.....if we're bottom and still adrift, then maybe. But if we're borderline - only a point or two from safety - I think he should carry on. Because we'd have a better chance of getting out of it if we had continuity.
  23. I thought he had a good first touch, and might have been better down the wing if he'd had the ball played over the top into the channel rather than to his feet all the time. He only started straying offside in the 2nd half when he was clearly knackered. That's why he was subbed pretty sharpish.
  24. No no, you're the one who's always looking for a scapegoat. You seem insistent on finding someone to blame. The truth is, sometimes you just have to say, "we played really well tonight, and were damn unlucky to lose" and just accept it. It doesn't always have to be someone's fault. Losing happens in any walk of life, especially in sport, and you need to learn to accept it without going off on one and trying to find someone to blame, some excuse, some explanation. The truth is, their right winger had a lash with his left foot from 25 yards and it happened to go in. 1 kick of the ball and we ended up with nothing. Whether you agree with it or not (I don't really care), your opinion is so far off the mark, because you weren't there and you didn't see the performance. Even YOU would have walked away from watching that game and been excited by the way we played. Of course, you would have been gutted, we all were, but like I said, sometimes it just happens. This game was nothing like the other games that we threw away this season - the performance really was very good. All you can ask from any manager or player is a good performance with lots of effort. And that's what we got. As for me looking for a scapegoat....what a load of tosh. I didn't blame Saga for the result, I just think we need a fresh face, as I don't think his heart is in it anymore, which is fair enough after what has happened with him. Unlike you, I can make an observation like that without throwing the blame around, criticising him or the manager.
