  1. Yeah I guess it's almost depending on if we have the ball or not. I guess when we do have it, your 4-1-2-3 formation is probably right. Then when we don't have the ball, Hammond drops back, as did Lallana and Papa, leaving Melis sitting in behind Lambert. I do like it though!! Plenty of support in attacks from the midfield!
  2. I'll say again, surprised (with his giraffe legs) how good his touch is, and has a few tricks about it. I think he's just going to continue to get better and better.
  3. Buy her a season ticket too
  4. Does anyone else think we're playing a 4-2-3-1 formation? Kinda looked like that to me. Today Wotton and Hammond in the 2, the 3 ahead, from left to right, were Lallana, Melis and Papa, with Lambert playing ahead? I kinda like it, and it suits Lallana down to the ground!
  5. Saves me doing my own match ratings - I agree with all of that!
  6. Go on, just a "well done boys" or a "great result". Go on, you can do it. For me? :smt055
  7. It's completely untrue!
  8. It happens at every stadium in the country unless it's changed at the coin toss
  9. If we'd only lost once, it wouldn't stop us going on a crap run, so why not the other way round? No reason why not. Every game is different. COYR
  10. does it really matter? the stadium wraps all around the pitch and there are no pillars blocking your view anywhere. wherever you sit in the ground, you can still get what you paid for....a seat from which to see the game...
  11. Once I'm back from the States I'm ready for some online battles....you lot can have your week or two getting used to it, I'll beat you all from cold :-)
  12. True....I mean who on earth in their right mind would take Pulis?! Oh wait....
  13. Funny, that's exactly what I'm doing. Except in my case it's dogS....2 springers and my girlfriend
  14. don't be silly, that requires intelligence, an ability to read, and gives them no excuse to moan! Most Saints fans these days can't cope like that!!!
  15. There's a difference between an opinion and an obsession. I'm concerned that you have a very unhealthy obsession with Hoddle. Actually I'm concerned for Hoddle....!
  16. Lol are u in on the wind up too?!
  17. You too? LOAN striker is a borrowed striker, as opposed to LONE striker - a striker borrowed from another club. We want to bring a striker in on loan, not play 1 up front. Unless the pair of you are on the wind up, which makes me look the silly one!
  18. Just in case you're being serious and not on the wind up.....LOAN striker, not LONE striker...i.e. A borrowed striker...
  19. Agreed! You can only play a system that works for the players you have! AP hasn't had anyone to play along side him.....he tried Saga, that didn't work. Paterson, didn't work. Now he's trying Lallana playing in behind him and Papa...still not ideal but he hasn't got any options. So, rightly, he's trying to get someone else in. What more can the guy do?!
  20. ok well let's make a deal then. You say something positive now and again, actually make a fuss about us when we're doing well, rather than only when we're doing bad, and I'll lay off. My problem with you is you're here all the time when we're doing badly, and you love to complain. But when we win or we do something good, you barely say a word. And when you do make a positive comment, there, more often than not, is a "but" and an "as long as". If you don't want me to turn on you for being negative, then convince me and others that you're not just negative. And this post isn't a dig. It's a fair comment to you. (Oh, and please don't deny what I've said...I've been on here long enough to know that what I said is true - you're here a lot in the bad times, and not a lot in the good times.)
  21. lol are you Alpine? You've both have a great sense of humour! Rolling eyes thing
  22. Yeah will do! Barona is awesome mate....they had the Nationwide Tour Championship there last year, and they've got it again next year. It's 7800 yards off the back tees, and the greens get up to 14. The hotel is beautiful and I get it for 50 dollars a night!
  23. Yeah he's expensive too - never mind the travel. Actually the flight and hotel and golf will cost less than the lessons! I'm getting the flight for free on airmiles, and I know the people that own the golf course/hotel/casino where I practice at, and they give me a special rate in the hotel and free golf. So it's all good - cheaper than going to Spain or somewhere. Check this place out where I'm staying: http://www.barona.com Oh and no, no tournaments. I'm only there for a week, to do some practice and see my coach. I'm going to Italy in November to qualify for the Alps Tour (oh the irony), so I just want to make sure I've ironed out a couple of things that are bothering me (my wedge play isn't quite on it and I keep hitting my putts out of the heel).
