  1. I'm just keeping my feet on the ground! We need to make sure we're still a premiership club in a year, worrying about Champions league football is a pipe dream...! If people have those ambitions then I fear they'll be very frustrated for years to come, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
  2. To achieve champions league qualification it will require us to spend an insane amount of money, which we do not have and will not spend. I will be delighted with us if we're a stable and established premier league club - and I think we're more than capable of achieving that within a few years. Getting from L1 to the premiership in 3 years is in a totally different league than qualifying for the champions league.
  3. From Defoe to Mcleod in 3 years, awesome.
  4. Why are people still saying they'll miss 3pm kick offs? We will have more 3pm kick offs next year than we had in the 2nd half of this season.
  5. 'Going to the top' doesn't necessarily mean winning the league though, it's just a turn of phrase. We're aiming to be a sustainable premiership club, and we will never spend millions on players to achieve what you want. The focus is on developing the youth setup and having most of our first team from the youth team, that's the plan because we're not going to spend millions on players. We want to develop our own. If we develop players of a certain calibre and keep them here, then who knows - we may have a chance in a decade or two, but in the near future it's a pipe dream.
  6. Man City have spent near on £600m, not just on players, but wages, infrastructure, stadium purchasing etc. We will not achieve what they have as we do not have that finance. It's fair to dream, but you have to be realistic about it...
  7. So much for not moving too far from his brother
  8. We will not qualify for the champions league, or compete for the premier league. That will never happen at this football club, let's be realistic. What is possible though is creating a sustainable and established premiership club, which can compete in the cups and flirt with the top 6/7 places in the league. That's probably the maximum this club can achieve in all honesty.
  9. Not me, but there are a few pics on twitter
  10. I wouldn't want him near this club again, we have a different type of player here these days. Not ****s. + If we were to buy another striker, they'd need to be better than Lambert.
  11. Maybe it is.
  12. Trust the club. Jos wasn't very exciting either at the time.
  13. Don't be silly. Our close season last year was perfection and I'd be delighted if this years followed the same pattern.
  14. This has been such a shambolic game of football to be honest, total dross.
  15. I reckon ours will be between 600-800. Just a hunch.
  16. Is that a list of players to avoid??? As it's a good one if it is!
  17. Well he's quite clearly not ****, which is why we were in the top 2 all season.
  18. But If you read my views on this before you'll see that I'm also not keen on the idea, hence why I said that he wouldn't improve us in anyway. We need players that are immediately better.
  19. It's missing a couple, big deal. For one I appreciate the time and effort that was put into it...
  20. Well that was a doddle.
  21. WHU just look a cut above tbf.
  22. Kenny Miller is so ****.
  23. Harding v Valencia.
  24. True, but they need to make sure they stay in it - and at this rate it's slipping away pretty quickly and it could end up being too much to do in the 2nd leg.
  25. Almost 3-0, i'll stand by my first impression that this will be a rout and over by 90mins.
