  1. Shocking fan base really, worst in the country. But for some reason they are saluted as ''one in a million'. If you notice the 'events' yesterday don't get spoken about much, brush it under the carpet - don't want to bad mouth the poor old victims.
  2. No chance we keep Adams, he will have PL takers who will actually use him correctly. Armstrong I'd hope will be one of the first out of the door, he's stunk this place out for 2 years. It's got to the point where I couldn't care less what he's done (one season by the way) in the Champ before, he's a busted flush here and needs a fresh start for the sake of everyone. If we try and prolong him next year it will only end one way for both.
  3. Think it's something OP's end, I've noticed most if not all of his posts are like that.
  4. Exactly, they're not HD - a pretty low bitrate SD feed with a work experience commentator and no co-comms.
  5. I appreciate you've probably seen a lot of this guy as you watch national league, which is fair enough - but you have to put it into context and look at who he is playing against. I would say Mullins is almost certainly playing below his level, that's why he's heads and shoulders above - but I'd argue that his level will never be higher than that of L2/Lower L1 at an absolute push, as has been shown to be true across his entire career up to this point. This isn't the scenario you are trying to paint of us missing out/not seeing an unknown/young player from non-league, we'd be picking up an almost 30 year old who has never really performed above L2. Fitness wise alone, he'd never be able to make the step up now. 'IF' he was 21/22 then maybe there's a shout to be had, but not anymore. He's a late bloomer, but too late for decent levels of football.
  6. If I'm truthfully honest I'd be absolutely demoralised if we signed either Mullins or that Langstaff bloke. The logic attributed to signing these guys is like saying ''We signed VVD from the SPL, he turned out great - let's sign Craig Hackett from hearts''
  7. I think you can already see every game on the Red Button anyway, certainly the mid week ones. I think it already has more coverage than the PL with the 'IFollow' coverage. It's certainly not PL level comms/quality/coverage though!
  8. There are a few which stand out, sadly! The ones for me are Forest at home, to this day I still don't know what we were trying to do. Forest hadn't won an away game all season prior to that, and funnily enough they haven't won another since. Says it all really. Grimsby was just a shitter, awful. No real idea of how to break down a lower half L2 side, it was painful. But for me the worst one is probably Wolves, to be playing against 10 men and with a 1-0 advantage at 70mins...but to STILL contrive to lose the game is nothing short of shambolic really, sums up the weakness of the players more than anything else.
  9. Stephens is one of those steady-eddy type players, but he won't play regular for Bournemouth next year - he's even slipped out of their side recently. I liked his commitment, but technically he was always massively lacking so I don't think we should look towards his potential departure too badly.
  10. My only concern with Wilcox is the continued focus on 'youth' - his background is academy and youth football, so his contacts and scouting knowledge will be of that arena. I really hope we focus beyond just youth this summer, I think we have to.
  11. Burnley's takeover is still a bit iffy, it was a takeover against the club in the sense of a loan - so they piled debt on the club. SR haven't done that, so in that sense they've done better. This summer will be a big signal of their intentions, but I have no reason to believe they won't significantly back us. It's also not all about financial investment, but it's about developing a project that 'sought after' coaches can get behind - I feel they have the clout to do that, so we'll see.
  12. And we were everything they were not in 2016. This is football, swings and roundabouts. They've got their time in the sun, let them enjoy it. They've taken advantage of a weak Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea season and have pushed on. They've got a great mix of players like Alexis McAlistar, Cacedio, Mitoma who will have almost certainly caught the attention of bigger clubs, much the same way as their manager. The trick for Brighton will be how they evolve from those players and the manager when it happens, because it will. They've already lost Trossard and Bissouma, but eventually the conveyor belt will slow down and they'll dip. They're having their period in the sun like we did, how they sustain it will very much rely on how well they use the money they get from players - but this is generally hit and miss, so it'll be interesting to see.
  13. I think it's important to take a step back slightly and remove the emotion from it for a second. Let's not kid ourselves that we were this mega stable mid-table PL club when they came in, far from it, we've been circling the drain for many years. We had a lucky season after Covid, but beyond that it's been outside relegation scraps or relegation scraps since 2018 - before them. So let's not re-write history to believe we were some sort of amazing club before they came. What I don't think anyone can hold against Sport Republic is their desire to change, and there was a lot here that was broken when they came in. Lack of investment being one, which they remedied massively and for that you cannot knock them. The issue has come with the decisions they have made on the back of that investment, they've gone all in way too quickly rather than taking a more considered approach - whilst things needed to change, the way they've gone about this is all wrong and that's why we are where we are. I don't believe their intentions are bad, far from it, it's just the decision making which has let them down - and if i'm honest that does still worry me for the summer, so let's see how that pans out. If SR had come in and started selling everyone, putting the ground up for sale, not allowing us to buy players etc then fair enough - smash them with a stick on that, but they haven't done that - they've come in with the investment to try and make a change, they've just done it wrong.
  14. What makes a 'Southampton' manager out of interest? Is it someone who has once played for us?
  15. Probably the only person who would!
  16. It's a thread title said in jest, all we've got is a bit gallows humour to save this season.
  17. In a season where Lampard's rep was already through the floor after his Everton tenure, he has probably totally ended his managerial career with this truly awful Chelsea spell.
  18. Does anyone find this Wrexham thing a bit odd? They've got a live BBC Sport commentary page broadcasting coverage and providing comms on the Wrexham open top bus parade. I cannot in my life remember a team in the National League getting promoted and getting this level of coverage. All a bit odd to me
  19. I've always thought his delivery was on par with JWP, certainly from the right side or free kicks in and around. He's got a similar technique.
  20. This is exactly it, I always thought his sacking by Palace was quite harsh. Obviously it looks good for Woy, but Viera would have got a similar haul in my opinion. (Plus Woy is benefiting from the return of Zaha). I think he built a decent team at Palace, which Woy is now benefiting from in the more winnable fixtures. (and it's not like Viera had them rooted to the foot, they've always been fairly comfortable)
  21. He most recently got booted out of Club Brugge by failing in a pretty shit league, standard wise. He managed 12 games. Another former player who isn't going to cut it as an elite manager.
  22. Leeds about to sack Javi Gracia and replace him with......Big Sam.
  23. Great game that, enough quality in both sides for them both to be fine come the end. My feeling now, it keeps swinging most weeks, is that it'll be Forest and Leeds.
  24. Ah silly season twiter-rumour sphere has started already.
  25. This has been a great watch, that half has had everything. Everton have been miles the better side in my opinion, but their defending has shot themselves in the foot. Can see why they're both down there, they are both levels above us quality wise though.
