  1. Something is afoot! I can feel it..
  2. If it is - what a bloody window. Lee, Puncheon (in a way), Falque, Hoovield, Sharp, Collins....seriously, that's reinforcement for you. Let's hope the last 2 come to fruition.
  3. I honestly don't think he's up to much. If he wasn't a ''saints fan'' I'm sure the majority wouldn't batter an eyelid.
  4. Seen him on TV a couple of times (Well highlights) for Santos when he was linked with a big move - this is where one of the Milan clubs were speculated about. He's technically outstanding.
  5. Yep, very good player. Was linked with one of the Milan clubs not so long ago. Bags and bags of pace.
  6. Christ @ who WHU have signed. Quality player. That's a blow....
  7. Results wise, not great, but off the pitch - what's the issue? Wait till these 2 days are up.
  8. It's definitely quite a decisive week in may aspects. Transfer wise, and fixture wise. If we can get 4 points from the next 2 I will be chuffed. Any less and we'll be sliding.
  9. I believe it's Jos that's out for the next 2/3 games, which is why we're looking for another left sided CB. All being well, Fonte should play on Tues.
  10. Be interesting if we really have stalled on the Sharp deal as we felt we had a chance with Hooper. Let's hope that we don't end up with neither.
  11. So does Adkins in terms of forwards tbf. Hooper, Hayes, Keogh, Sharp....all brought through/brought by him IIRC.
  12. Looks to have decent pace, gets himself into decent positions etc. But the defending in that clip is just pathetic.
  13. I'd rather play Lee and have Guly on the right. I absolutely hate seeing all 3 of those in the same team. No disrespect to any of them, because they're all terrific players, but we loose so much attacking flow and quality with those 3 in the middle. All too static.
  14. Good point, didn't realise he was that old. No idea then. Odd.
  15. If anything, this is probably a signing for the development squad and is nothing to do with the first team. Hence the loan back.
  16. Home.....against Bolton. Tasty and very winnable.
  17. Back in the summer before our game, he confirmed he approached us for Rickie, and said they themselves went after Jay Rod and then heard what we offered and knew he'd be out of their range etc.
  18. But why would you make substantial bids for players, if you didn't have the money? Seems like a bloody waste of time. It was confirmed by the Donny chairman that they accepted a 3.5m bid from us last summer for Sharp, he didn't want to join for personal reasons. It was also confirmed via various sources, and even Paul Jewell that we offered £5m for Jay Rod. I'm pretty sure we've offered a similar amount for Hooper. If the selling clubs don't want to sell, then there's not a hell of alot we can do. I think it's clear the money is there, but we may be running up a few blind alleys with it.
  19. Same could be said for Hooper, Jay Rod, Sordell etc. He's young enough to be able to grow into it.
  20. I think it's too late tbh. Celtic will not let him go now, no matter what. I've kind of felt that since day 1, so I'd love to know what information we've been getting which has kept pulling us back - his agent is obviously talking. But if the club don't want to sell, and it looks like they've rebuffed £6m+, then there's no point wasting any more time and we need to go all out and get Sharp. 2nd choice or not, he's still a bloody good player at this level.
  21. I think it's quite clear we have a fair bit to spend, so I would ignore their views! We just seem to be targeting players that clubs will never let go, ever.
  22. It's like a re-run of the summer at the mo! But Hooper instead of Jay-Rod. Will have to wait and see what materializes, but we're still pretty active by the sounds of it.
  23. There is a rumour, although not sure how concrete, that all clubs are pushing for the window to extended until 5pm on Thursday - as all premiership teams play mid-week too, so it's not favorable for anyone.
  24. Apparently we've been bumped back again with another approach, a 'feckin huge' offer according to Nixon on twitter. We should have given this up ages ago...!
  25. I'm sure our admin staff, Stokes admin staff, and NA are all ware of any issues that may crop up. They wouldn't have missed such a blatant problem, which is why there won't be a problem.
