This. Based up on what Dean Saunders has said, this is complete bar the shouting. He's already talking about reinvesting the fee.
-
Yep, exactly. Tremendous value for money and makes me wonder why we seemed determined to splash out £6m on a similar player.
-
gordonsimpson Gordon Simpson Told that Sharp's personal terms were agreed before he set off for Southampton. #saintsfc
-
No where near. £1.8m hits his release clause.
-
Keeper is for the summer, not now. Expect a CB in the loan window, Collins has fallen through and looks like going to Leicester.
-
Or we could have a front 3 of Lee Barnard Sharp. Now that would be fun for commentators.
-
....not bad! With a supply line of Lallana, De Ridder and now Puncheon. This is now looking better and better!!
-
Don't forget, he missed a big chunk of this season through injury.
-
I'd assume on Loan, which if true, is a great move for him.
-
For a decent champ player (who would be a squad addition, not guaranteed first choice), he must have wanted upwards of 20k, which IMO is ludicrous.
-
This is on par with our signing of Lambert in L1 imo. A prolific goal scorer at this level who will lift everyone, the fans, the staff and I'm pretty sure the players. He's available at a cut price fee, but IMO he's amongst the most prolific players at this level and I see no reason why he cannot do it at a higher level. Check out some of his finishes on Youtube, real quality in there. I'm bloody excited fwiw as a partnership of him and Lambo, on paper, is bloody mouthwatering.
-
Nothing on the website yet fwiw...

Haven't got a clue! Can't imagine it would be Soton Uni. Imagine trying to keep a new mega signing under-wraps, and you're walking him through the corridors of a busy university I know they used to be done at a small medical practice in Romsey, don't think that's the case anymore. May be in house.
-
He's self destructed.

bigadamsport Adam Blackmore No comment from #saints boss Nigel Adkins about signings - but he did say Danny Collins was not at training ground bigadamsport Adam Blackmore @ Can't blame the clubs for not talking, so much at stake - I now have doubts about #saintsfc completing Collins deal - it's quiet!
-
Sharp may or may not sign, make of that what you will.
-
Agreed. Players like Sears, Piquonne (sp), Carew etc are poor IMO and aren't' really up to much - as we've seen so far this season. Their best striker and most dangerous player is probably Baldock, really like him. Cole has been a let down at this level, thought he'd be prolific.
-
Wasn't there also a rumour along these lines, that the Leibhers wanted out because they didn't like Cortese? Then a few months later Cortese was put in charge of Mali by the Leibheer family. I think they're quite content with what he's doing. Can't see them selling up, not until we're in the premiership and they have an opportunity to get a huge payday.
-
Well they've got alot of strikers, about 7 i think - but none are prolific.
-
I doubt Barnard and Conners will be with us in the prem. De Ridder is a winger too, don't like him up front.
