+1. We can't rely on Connolly to be fit for the rest of the season, and Barnard isn't going to be ready for a while yet.
-
Before Puncheon had his massive u-turn I would have said a wide man was required for another option - but this has now seemingly been solved and Punch is the equivalent of a new signing really. I think we could do with 1 more striker. I don't class Guly as an out and out forward for a start - and then all we have after that is Connolly, Lambert and Lee. CB looks a little short - but we can get by at the mo, if it gets more severe we have the loan market to dip into.

Forte isn't even worth 100k. -
Wouldn't expect Lee to be starting. On the bench possibly.

Well this has been a positive day! Wouldn't be suprised to see that finish off our activity to be honest. We've still got the loan window to dip into if required.

any half technical player would have looked lost out there on monday.
-
I think his scan is today IIRC. So no one knows anything yet, not even the bloke who told me it was long term at the match! Will have to wait and see.

It could be an amazing turn around for the lad. I remember how good he was for Milwall at this level and I'm quite excited by what a fired up and montivated Punchon could bring to us...

Bart Frazer - Martin - Fonte - Harding De Ridder - Hammond - Morgan - Puncheon Lambert - Reeves IMO It'll be something like that.. with a bench of... Davis, W-P, Forte, Shaw, Holmes, Chaplow, Sinclair

Punchon is like a new signing really! Never thought i'd see him back in the team, but on Monday I thought we needed someone like Puncheon out there - someone who has the confidence to take on and run at the oppo. IMO Punch would get into most teams in this league, so we've done well to get him to do a u-turn and issue an apology like this. -
Let's be honest, I think NC has played this whole situation fantastically well. We've been in the driving seat from day 1 and were never dictated to by him - he's now managed to u-turn it so he's back playing for us. I think NC deserves a bit of appreciation for how he's dealt with all t his.

Let's not look at it in that way...!

Seriously, i am totally stunned by this. I could not see a way back for him what so ever - especially after his comments the other day. Now as fans let's get behind him if he wants to play for us. I'm still not 100% sure how stable he is....! but I think the last thing he will need now is us lot getting on his back as soon as he makes a wrong choice or a wrong pass. At the en dof th eday, when on song, he is a premiership player - there's no denying that. So let's hope we can get the best out of him because if we can he's a huge player for us.

Sibley always drops little titbits like that, but generally it could mean anything. from the basis of the reports last night about Puncheon, it could be that the PFA have sided with Puncheon and are not agreeing to the fine? -
Blimey, fair play to the lad if true. FWIW I did think he looked a bit distant and distracted, didn't seem to be quite on the same wave length at times. Not suprsing if that's the case!
-
It looks like we're activley scouting for a goal keeper though, and are sending the feelers out in all directions (abroad, in this league, lower league...). Good to see us planning for the future as Kelv won't be around for ever.
-
ah ok fair enough - didn't realise he'd play then.

Cup tied for the Carling cup and the europa, but not for the FA Cup afaik
-
They will not go bust, the FL will want to ensure integrity in the competition and will probably try to negotiate via the FA/PL advanced parachute payments to cover the losses. They shouldn't, but I'm pretty sure that will happen if it gets too serious.

Not good Crabs, but to be honest the club is a pretty lost cause anyway. Will be fun to rebuild them in L1 i guess....always a chacne to regroup. I had a similar situation on FM11 a while back, I took over Derby in the hope of getting them to stay up...but we didn't manage it. I then took the close season as an opportunity to raise as much capital as I could by selling alot of the squad, I reinvisted back in with the little I had and built a fairly nice side - we got up via the playoffs that year, then the following year we lost in the playoffs in the championship! So it was a nice achievement. On my current game I gave up with Villa, they offered me no money in my first full season and I could do much more with them without investing - and I didn't want to have to sell first. I'm starting a new game now, got to decide what club!

Agree with it. The only stumbling block here is that the player seemingly doesn't want to shift his life. and even if he was persuaded to, his agent is probably asking for some stupid things in his contract to reassure him on the move - such as guaranteed playing time, mega bonuses etc. Leicester pulled out of it...that says it all!
