I think Fox is playing there is because he's left footed, and NA obviously likes having a right footed and left footed centre back.

Why do people suddenly think playing Barnard = a poor side? It's almost as ludicrous as posters saying that he's not good enough for the championship, even though he's never really been given a chance at the championship. I reckon he'll score today. I'm gobsmacked by peoples reactions to him, when he's done nothing wrong at all.

The centre of defence looks shocking though. No wonder we want another CB. Henderson should have a field day today.

Wouldn't take that as gospel. I asked some Ipswich fans about him and they're all sad he left them, they all rated him and wanted him back. He's probably been poor for them, but he wasn't poor for Ipswich.

Chaplow will probably be on the bench on tuesday, didn't travel today though afaik. Hoovield probably a good few weeks, hence our link to danny collins I wouldn't be surprised to see Fonte, Richardson and Lee involved today. So I don't think we're too far away from having most back.

Exactly - all this talk of average backup signings etc is rubbish. This guy will add to the squad, but is as good as our other players - so we're not worried if/when he has to step in! Exactly the right transfer policy to adopt.

Would be fantastic cover. He was terrific for Ipswich when he was there a few weeks back. Maybe not quite premiership quality, but a top player at this level for sure.

To be fair, pace is only useful if you can actually use it in a positive footballing sense. No disrespect to Forte.
