No, it's about being able to defend your flank and stop the crosses. Attacking/assists and goals are bonuses. Shaw defended very well and was for the first half of the season, a key cog in the best defence in European football. I hate the constant belittling of players once they've left. Bertrand isn't as good as shaw, will never be as good as shaw..so there's no point really debating that.

I can see why people are a little disappointed. We've got £90m in the bank, and a key position that needed filling is replaced by a short-term loan. Now, to be honest, I was told from day 1 that LB isn't a priority for the club - I didn't particularly agree with that, but maybe the club simply don't see it as important as us - and they wanted to make a signing which wouldn't slam the door shut in Targetts face. That's how I see it.

For what it's worth, Sky have been reporting that all day - when it's actually false. Club, and people near to Morgan have denied it. But Sky Sources win, I guess. Who are Sky Sources?

There's a big thread on him on their forums, some thought he was ok but the majority thought he was average and didn't really want him back.

Would imagine it's because we wouldn't pay what Sporting wanted for Rojo, so opted for a quick loan fix.
