  1. It's clear he's off tbh.
  2. I thought it was only 1? Lambert?
  3. Do you know when the big opportunity was actually missed? 15th Feb, 2014. We ****ed away a chance to actually win something, in favour of the race to finish 8th. The manager and most of the players are all being linked with big clubs for big money, so as we all knew - we have a hell of a lot of class here, so ****ing away the chance to win something with what will be our best 11 in decades is the opportunity that was missed.
  4. I think one of those 2 would have helped stabilise things a little (Williams, preferably). But KL wanted to do it her own way, I must admit I'm a bit nervous as people involved with different sports coming into football hasn't ended well in history. I know we've all had our own experiences with a certain Rugby coach. From what I've seen so far, the board is coming over as very naive, esp. RK. He's obviously a talker, someone who rally's the troops with a good old fashioned speech, I imagine he's got 'inspirational speaker' somewhere on his CV - but you need more than that in football directorship, he's not a coach any more - he's the director of a football club, and some of the comments he has come out with are incredibly ill-advised. I think as a club (Fans/players) - we want to know the plan, the talk so far has just been waffle - nothing really said that means anything. RK's speech at the players awards was the most pointless piece of waffle I've ever heard....so I can sense the frustrations, and I can sense the agitation as we just wait....and wait......but it's too early for a full blown meltdown, let's just sit tight for a little longer and wait to see the actions. As the always say, actions speak a hell of a lot louder than the words spoken.
  5. No they're not.
  6. That's pretty impressive. So pleased for Fonte and the fact that he's grown so much the past year, he should be going to the world cup too IMO.
  7. We're not telling them to **** off in clear terms though, that's the problem. Apparently we don't need to sell, yet our door is open for bids and clubs/agents know this. If it carries on this way, we'll be losing more than Luke and Adam - that's for sure.
  8. This is what will happen though, the board have kind of played their hand and showed a bit of neivity - so every club will be testing the water, as we have so many good players. They should not have publicly come out and said ''We've inherited a bad financial situation'' and ''we will start discussions with clubs at the end of the season'' - as that basically says, we're open for business. Come and talk to us, welcome to the South Coast fire sale. Pathetically nievee and has set the tone for the entire summer. That's why I'm kind of happy that the club keep quiet until there's something to announce, as everything they've said so far has either been PR Guff or an own goal of the highest order.
  9. Ah jesus, this brings back memories. Welcome back.
  10. He's been sounded out, IMO, and his head has been turned. Does make you think though, even Man City...with all their mega riches and a PL title, are at risk of losing one of their best players.
  11. All he says is what other people say. He doesn't know anything himself.
  12. He has already said he doesn't want to leave the EPL, so it's Spurs or no where IMO.
  13. "None of them shook his hand on his birthday. It's really sick," Seriously, what the actual ****. Is this what it's coming to????
  14. Bit strange, obviously some sort of restructuring. I must admit, I didn't follow the academy in the league this year...but I don't think we won it, or won a cup. Maybe, with what we're churning out (shaw/bale/chambo/adam) the ambition within the club is that we should be leading the way results wise too? Obviously, academy results are often secondary to progress of the individuals...but maybe the club are that short sighted in this! Who knows, doubt we'll even know the full reasons - but seems as if JD is being amicable enough about it.
  15. The fact it's silent doesn't mean nothing is going on, by the way. So just take a break for a few weeks....enjoy the W/C and come back to our NPC level squad in august.
  16. He's always been a bit precious, you can tell by the way he acts on the field as soon as he's fouled or touched. But this is quite clearly agent instructed manoeuvring to either a) secure him a new/bigger contract, or b) to secure him a move, to a new/bigger contract. He'll probably get neither though, so fail.
  17. No, that's doom-mongering, as with the majority of your posts! I can tell you that Jay's contract is a work in progress and every intention to be sorted - one bit of good news!
  18. Why wouldn't she have our support? In a round about way - she has bankrolled us from L1 to Top 10 in the PL, so she deserves our support. The only question marks I have at this moment in time are over their long-term plans, are they really willing to **** away 5 years of work...? Time will tell.
  19. Why are we voting for a Liverpool player?
  20. Afellay is decent, but has an horrendous recent injury record. Still can't believe they spent £15m on Song! I'd say Tello would be a good capture from that lot...
  21. Never recovered from injury, lost all his pace. Swansea fans rate him as a total liability.
  22. Can probably summarise what will be said into a short paragraph. ''I had a great time at Southampton, the owners obviously have new idea's. I wanted to take Southampton to new levels, everyone believed in the vision I had, but they wouldn't allow me to do that. The players would not have been let go on my watch as the ambition remained within me, but not within the club. I can promise all fans that I was running the club financially well, the owners just decided to withdraw funding''. I'e I was amazing, all success was down to me, the owners who bankrolled my ambition and who i wanted to continue to bankroll my ambition are nothing but jerks etc. etc. Done a lot of good stuff, but he is a total PR disaster.
  23. What really frustrates me more than anything....manager really wanted, lots of players clearly being sounded out by clubs, big bids coming in....yet we didn't achieve anything major with what is likely to be our best team for decades, we just finished 8th, behind Man Utd who had their worst season for yonks. The way we treated the cups will forever **** me off, we'll never be in such a strong position again to tackle the cups. We were clearly good enough if we put out our best side!
  24. Unfortunately we're looking at the wrong one, we need to go after Ben Davies. Neil Taylor is horrific.
